Sewer Goddess - With Dirt You Are One (Infect06) Following numerous cassette and vinyl releases, With Dirt You Are One represents the first formal CD release from this Boston based cult project and officially kicks off the return of Malignant side label, Black Plagve. Expect 9 tracks of wretched, filth ridden, post mortem electronics, spewing forth a barrage of unclean frequencies, skuzzy reverberations, blackened drones, and anguished, inhuman vocalizations. Filled with negativity and dread, this is a hellishly grim and visceral assault, and essential listening for anyone into the darker, more depraved side of heavy electronics .Lmtd 500 copies, in jewel box.

December 30th, 2009 It's been so long since I updated the notes section, I don't even know what to write at this point. I guess I'll start with Happy New Year to everyone and thanks for a great 2009. it was one of the more successful years I've had, perhaps surprising considering the economy, downloading, and many other factors. I'm particularly proud of some of the releases Malignant put out this year. Probably the best run of releases the labels ever done in it's 15, soon to be 16 year existence. So, what's coming up? Tons of stuff all coming together at the same time - mostly a lot of dark ambient to start the year, then I think things will get progressively noisier as we go.
Here's the line-up, in no particular order: Phelios - Astral Unity, Wolfskin - Stonegates of Silence, Yen Pox - Blood Music 2CD re-issue, Negru Voda - Vald de Luxe 3CD (as soon as I find a good box to put them in) , Sewer Goddess - With Dirt You Are One (on the resurrected Black Plagve), Phaenon - His Masters Voice, False Mirror - Derelict World and a few surprises.
In the meantime, I've been updating the catalog on a semi-regular basis as most of you have gathered. Not going to run down everything from the last month or so, but I did post the new Voice of Eye 2CD today, as well as the great new Folkstorm. Otherwise, poke around and browse at will. Thanks
October 23rd, 2009 Sektor 304, out today!! I know I like to speak in superlatives when referring to some of my releases, but I'm not exaggerating when I state that this may be of of Malignant's finest moments. This is the direction industrial music SHOULD have taken after 1990. Legitimate industrial done as in the fashion of the masters - Neubauten, Test Dept, S.P.K. etc. No one, but no one is doing music like Sektor 304 right now. You owe it to yourself to get this.

October 2nd, 2009 Been awfully quiet around these parts lately - I guess everyone's waiting for something exciting and new to arrive. Well, I think I've got your fix - seemingly almost all from Scandinavia! In today, the latest from Finnish ritual experimental drone masters Arktau Eos, as well as new CDs from Swedish industrialists Bocksholm, Desiderii Marginis, and Jarl, and some supremely dark folk from Splinterskin. Also, some re-stocks of the much sought after Survival Unit CDs, as well as a few other miscellaneous titles.
Also, you'll notice, down near the bottom of the "new" section, I'm offering a great mix and match deal on some Malignant dark ambient CDs. 3 for just $26, which can include the brilliant new Collapsar CD as well as the recent Hyios.
On the release front, the formal debut from Portugal's Sektor 304 is at the plant and expected out in mid- October. This is, without a doubt, one of the more exciting and ambitious CDs I've released and I can't wait to unleash it. You can check out samples at the Malignant myspace.
And lastly (sorry, it's been awhile since I updated, so lot's to get caught up on), the latest issue of Zero Tolerance features a label profile on Malignant and an interview (and pic!!) of yours truly. Be sure to snatch that up where you can find it - which is usually Borders, or Barnes and Nobles.
