Yen Pox - Universal Emptiness 10inch ( Substantia: SUB14)

Been a long wait this one - Yen Pox will never be accused of being prolific for one, so new material is just plain slow to arrive, but then the release of this saw further delays because the original material was so massive that it needed 3 master-plates before it could be pressed, with the original tracks having to be shortened & de-equalized as they were just TOO HEAVY! And thus you have new Yen Pox in a nutshell- really fucking HEAVY; dense masses of roiling cosmic debris propelled into space, then sent recoiling back into an endless, swirling, blackened void. Maybe it's just the vinyl format, but this feels really raw and primary...almost like a return to the cassette release era turmoil. Totally worth the wait.
