Thompkins with Joseph Pyne and Juan A. of Der Arbeiter), it is a mixture of their haunting dark cemetery folk music with a more Cold Wave (or what the press has labeled them as "Ghost Wave") sound with very subtle drum beats and ghostly keyboards. All this with Jason Thompkins' very unique Southern voice and his use of themes from nature to describe his deepest feelings. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing. After all, if I made music (and I still might, so watch out), I'd probably take my cue from Lee as well. Good thick, dark apocalyptic sounds here... an emotional torrent of self-destructive force with styles that range from rhythmic orchestral industrial to bleak passages of black noise with a good dosage of throbbing feedback and scathing vocals. There is some sick twisted narrative to be found here but the search for these mysterious happenings will bring you to places you may never return from.. $10.00
