Taint - Strange Feeling, Shit Coming LP ( Urashima: UMA109)
Taint is known to be one of the most authoritative and pervert act in the power electronics scene. A kind of juiced up, Taint squared a brutal stew of screaming high-end feedback, crushing distorted scrape and corrosive furious vocals that are overlaid with sheets of white noise. Strange Feeling, Shit Coming , that was released on legendary Japanese tape label G.R.O.S.S. in 1993, showed Taint at his best. Fucking brutal! The record has been pressed on 140 gr black vinyl with black label and black inner sleeve and comes in a deluxe silver silkscreen on black cardboard sleeve with original artwork and layout , limited to 199 copies w/insert.. $22.00

TenHornedBeast - The High Places 7 inch ( Neuropa: NRP38)
Known for long, sometimes very long, macro-compositions that evoke vast empty landscapes and open doors to those who watch us from beyond the veil, the 7″ vinyl record is perhaps not the first format that comes to mind when one thinks of TenHornedBeast but worry not, for our cloven-hoofed English friend has managed to distill the hills and winds of his North Pennine haunts into two tracks that act as a postcript to the 2013 Neuropa Records album ‘Elphame’.
TenHornedBeast’s ‘The High Places’ EP is the third & final part in a first series of limited edition 7″ EP’s on Neuropa Records. Lmtd 99 copies.. $6.00

The Black Scorpio Underground - Necrochasm LP ( Prison Tatt Records: H113)
Forged in 2000, THE BLACK SCORPIO UNDERGROUND (aka T.B.S.U.), whose split with T.O.M.B. last year made substantial waves within the black metal/noise communities, fuses harsh noise, industrial, ambient, and black metal elements to create their deafeningly sinister, occult-ridden magick. With a dedicated and expanding fan base and endorsements from the like of Watain’s Erik Danielsson and Trepaneringsritualen’s Thomas Martin Ekelund among many others, T.B.S.U. has generated an extensive catalog of releases including splits with such genre heavyweights as Richard Ramirez/Werewolf Jerusalem, The Vomit Arsonist, The Haters, Demonologists, Actuary, and Endometrium Cuntplow.
T.B.S.U. is the brainchild of world-renowned tattoo artist/musician, Joe Truck, inker to many of black metal and industrial music royalty. Truck, who’s been a staple within the NYC deathrock/punk and goth scenes since 1979, has performed in bands with members of Swans, Einsturzende Neubauten, Nick Cave And The Bad Seeds, Snakefinger, and Samhain. Truck is also the founding member and guitarist in New York City-based 1982 goth act Scarecrow.
Necrochasm is an unforgiving, seven-track nightmare of sonic ungodliness; a true manifestation of fear, apprehension, and suffocating paranoia. Featuring contributions from Samantha Viola of T.O.M.B., Dreadlords, and Skulsyr, the disharmonic masterwork was captured at Black Blood Studios in Long Beach, California and Hollydale Asylum, in Downey, California. $11.00

Theologian - A Means By Which To Break The Surface Of The Real LP ( Redscroll: RSR013)
A Means By Which To Break The Surface Of The Real further extends the immense catalog of THEOLOGIAN recordings through labels including Crucial Blast, Handmade Birds, Malignant Records, the artist’s own Annihilvs Power Electronix and more even further into the darkest and most engulfing chasms. The latest tortured auditory from the soloist and collaborator, Lee M. Bartow (a.k.a. Theologian Prime), come in the form of four punishing sequences, nearly forty-five minutes of new material, the closing track engulfing nearly twenty-two minutes on its own. This latest deluge was created through Bartow’s collaborative explorations with David Castillo (Primitive Weapons, White Widows Pact) and Daniel Suffering (Whorid), with contributions from Matt Slagle and engineer Kevin D. Reilly, Jr., who has periodically worked with Bartow since the earliest incarnations of Navicon Torture Technologies in the mid-late 1990s. Tortured screams reach out over the tumbling industrial workings below. Low register whispered meanderings slowly rise to meet those screams. Machines’ rhythmic drones fold in on the voices. Sirens invite and warn. Sink into the synthetic abyss.. $7.00

Theologian - Some Things Have to Be Endured LP (Blood Red Vinyl) ( Crucial Blast: CBR104LP)
Finally here after a series of delays, Theologian's amazing Some Things Have To Be Endured is now available on vinyl, released on blood-red vinyl in gatefold packaging in a limited edition of five hundred copies, with download code. The album art for the LP is completely different from the CD version, and features the evocative and disturbing images of NY photographer Gretchen Heinel; it's equally as visually striking as the CD edition, and casts these eight tracks of punishing death industrial in an even more menacing light. The latest offering from NY synth-death master Theologian (aka Leech, also the mastermind behind the renowned power electronics/death industrial outfit Navicon Torture Technologies), Some Things Have To Be Endured features eight new tracks of punishing black industrial, apocalyptic darkwave frequencies, and nerve-rending electronic deathscapes. Endured is a collection of collaborations between Theologian and a lineup of female vocalists/artists from both within the industrial / noise / dark ambient / coldwave realm and beyond, with contributions from Rachael Kozak (Hecate), Kristen MacArthur (Sewer Goddess), Rachel Maloney (Tonikom), Nikki Telladictorian (Prometheus Burning), Patricia Benitez (Fetish Drone), Gillian Leigh Bowling (Teloahqaal), Christiana Key (Delphic Oracle), Joan Hacker (Factoria), Shari Vari (Void Vision), and professional opera singer Melissa C. Kelly. The tracks shift from grinding industrial dread to ethereal coldwave beauty, blasts of rumbling blackened synthcrush met with washes of haunting electronic melody, while always remaining rooted in Theologian's bleak, jet-black industrial sound.
Co-produced with Derek Rush/DREAM INTO DUST and mastered by James Plotkin, Some Things Have To Be Endured contains some of the most moving and dramatic music to emerge from Theologian's black sonic abyss.Track Samples:. $14.00

The Rita - Queen Sheets 2LP ( Urashima: UMA094)
Some time ago a colleague emailed me and informed me that an artist made a short video of herself knitting to THE RITA's 'Thousands of Dead Gods.' I watched the short video and thought it was interesting, but then also noticed that the woman had a link included on her 'Instagram' account for her sculptural works. I had a look at her work and was instantly taken by the sheer immensity and power of her structures, all exemplary of long hours of labour and provocative patterns behind the materials. The most notable structure for me was the piece 'Untitled Form (Barrier)' which was made up of timber, bricks, mortar and a semi-dynamic use of the material chiffon to hold bricks in a hanging fashion. The semi-opaque, stretching quality behind the white chiffon with height of almost 8 feet instantly brought to mind the focus of my past recordings that delved into the world of nylon and stocking fetishism, eventually contemplating the semi-opaque salmon pink qualities behind the tights used by classical ballerinas and the expanded practice and tradition therein. Looking at an imposing 8'4 x 8' structure like Megan Miller's 'Untitled Form (Barrier)' and it's materials made me think that any sound made by the structure's movement of bricks against each other piled in a virtual sling of moving chiffon would be perfect for textural, abrasive sound source. After some discussion with Megan, it was decided that a new structure would be built for a collaboration with THE RITA that embraced not themes of fetishism, but expanded utilitarian themes around the use of nylon; the stockings, tights and nylon that women wore to work, what our mother's wore for warmth, comfort, and most importantly the virtual make-up of the fabric, the inherent qualities it featured. Her eventual new outdoor sculpture was entitled 'Queen Sheets' and also made use of brick and mortar, expanding over a flat area with semi-opaque chiffon stretching over the whole of the area, covering it. 'Untitled Form (Barrier)' was also erected again in the same outdoor area, and this time the labor intensive building process of both sculptures was recorded for eventual processing by THE RITA. Sam McKinlay
‘'An exquisite and entirely feminine material, much can be said of nylon. It moves like us and with us, stretches like us and with us, and, although extremely delicate and easily torn, the fiber is strong enough to make me wonder if it could support bricks. Pantyhose become our second skin, our birth-skin held in its softness. The sound of its softness is remarkable – the sound of second skin of birth – skin and the light sweet between.'' - In a letter to Sam from Megan on March 31 th , 2014 - (in response to the Rita's ‘'Ballet Feet Positions'')
Both records are impressive, inspired and near perfect examples of Mr. McKinlay brutal sonic talents. This is easily one of the highlights of this year noise releases and a high point in the Rita discography. A must have item for HNW/Noise fans; but also a great entry point into the genre to see how one of the masters of the form performs.Double Lp has been pressed on 140 gr black vinyl with black label and black inner sleeve and comes in a deluxe silver silkscreen on black cardboard sleeve, limited to 199 copies w/insert in luxury 160 gr ivory paper, plus four color photographs. All package in a clear plastic sleeve to protect double Lp, cover and inserts from dirt, shelf wear and damage.. $31.00

Thomas Dimuzio - Amid Zero Echo 2x10 inch ( Drone: Sub20)
"Thomas Dimuzio's Amid Zero Echo marks the new release from this US underground legend from San Francisco, whose massive hypnotic soundscapes already released in the 90's were much ahead of the time!
Four new transcendental drone masterworks abstracted from electric guitar bristle with life through the dense, rich and detailed sonic expanse of Dimuzio's glorious sound world. Vibrating wires of the electric guitar inform a digital musique concrete modus operandi replete with unheard studio techniques which form a music with a strong organic core. These four drones open wide rooms for phantastic aural imaginations: like flying over endless grounds of unknown origin, sensing a heavy suction of extreme gravity, moving towards a black hole center... or driving into a totally dark mining tunnel with all the metallic ore and dust around.... These are drones that LIVE from the inside! Striking gatefold artwork by Mars Wellink showcases two clear vinyl LPs in an equally compelling and beautifully designed package.
Thomas Dimuzio is a musician, composer, sound designer, mastering engineer, label proprietor, and music technologist residing in San Francisco, California. Inspired as much by John Cage as Led Zeppelin, Dimuzio's music forms a sonic excursion that transports the listener into other worldly aural realms. “His work has a narrative, filmic tug that will draw you into its dark corners, ears alert… brilliant and rarely less than entertaining.” [Peter Marsh, BBC]
Long regarded as a musical pioneer for his innovative use of live sampling and looping techniques, Dimuzio has earned a deserved reputation worldwide as an avant-garde sound artist in touch with the aesthetic pulse of time and technology. A true sonic alchemist who can seemingly create music events out of almost anything, Dimuzio's listed sound sources on his various releases include everything from 'modified 10 speed bicycle' and 'resonating water pipe' to short-wave radios, loops, feedback, samplers, synthesizers and even normal instruments such as guitar, clarinet and trumpet. Dimuzio's eclecticism bespeaks a career equally informed by a profound dedication to his craft and collaborations with friends, artists and technologists alike.

Trepaneringsritualen/Body Cargo - Split LP ( Autarkeia: AVI067)
This release is a collaborative work of the Swedish and Lithuanian industrial music scenes, with each artist contributing 3 tracks. On the A side one can find Sweden's Trepaneringsritualen, who composed impressive dark ambient / death industrial tracks. Culled from the same sessions as Åkallan Mímir, Trepaneringsritualen's side of this split features a prolonged death chant in three movements. Sombre, slow-moving and ritualistic in approach, this working fits in stylistically somewhere between the previously mentioned Åkallan: Mímir and Deathward, To The Womb. Tthe B side features Lithuania's post-mortem act Body Cargo, who, as is usual to the project, plays dirty and brutal lo-fi about the cannibal cults of Papua New Guinea. Ltd x 300 copies on heavy transparent vinyl in a screenprinted cardboard sleeve. ACT FAST!. $20.00
