A very fine folk album with some middle-age/Renaissance era instrumentation. Sagentoeter are members of Riharc Smiles (and sound very similar), which guarantees you a large variety of perfectly played acoustic instrumentsguitar, including Flamish Bagpipes, Recorder, Hurdy Gurdy, Nyckelharpa, Dalslandspipa, Flute, didgeridoo and percussion. Theres an authenticity and intimacy that you just cant find in the majority of neo-folk being released (just check out the amazing track 5 as a personification of this). The lyrics are strong and heroic and tell from a ancient nordic Wolfage, while the music is at times quiet and a touch minimal, but very well composed and very traditional in feel.. $15.75

Originally released as a tape in 100 copies on Klorofyll Kassetter in 2008 which sold out immediately, Bristning finally gets the vinyl treatment. For this reissue, Dan Johansson revisited the original masters recorded at Utmarken in 2008 and elaborated it into an extended version, now clocking in on 33 minutes. Bristning shows the progression between the loop-based vocal manipulations on Kassettmusik (iDEAL) and the Vidöppna Sår LP (Pan), weaving together elements from both. A RTB favorite in the big Sewer Election discography. Mastered for vinyl by Viktor Ottosson. Klorofyll said: "Sewer Election gives you a twisted world of decay and filth. Putting out records since 2002, on labels like Segerhuva, Release the Bats!, iDEAL and Troniks, you can definately say Sewer Election has been around quite a while delivering his punches of endlessly violent bursts of noise. Earlier this year, on his latest album called Kassettmusik, Sewer Election introduced a new sound to his music, replacing his former well knowned harsh noise to a more subtle and restrained soundscape, although nonetheless still filled with the corrupting and creepy feeling of moral decay and disease. In many ways Bristning is following in this direction, continuing with a tapeloop orientated sound, and in many ways it is not. Using all kinds metal junk to create analogue noise this recording is at times far more harsh than any fx-pedal ever can be. Debut vinyl release from this Boston based, female fronted power electronics/death industrial project. There's something very effective that can be achieved with a minimlist approach and SW proves that with these four tracks. There's not a lot of layering and not a lot of complexity
just vile , black, sickly pulsations and soft, wet spasms with a disturbing vibe that permeates each second of each track. Track three is particularly impressive, with some very unsettling, murderous screams over muted washes of looping white noise. Its way cooler than it sounds in print, trust me. One sided LP on clear vinyl. 146 copies only!!. $12.33

SONNE HAGAL's second full-time album once more bestows the listener with a journey into the unknown realms of poetry, mysteries and enthralling melodies. Closely connected to Europa's folk-music tradition and the Northern mysteries, the band develops song structures that reach from simple traditional arrangements to complex compositions. The songs, performed in German and English, reveal rediscovered poems as well as self-written lyrics. They tell about simple campfire stories, mythological or surreal matters.
