Back in stock! Founded on a prophecy about the downfall of humanity and the end of the world, the Norwegian industrial death metal band V:28 set out on a musical journey through a world in turmoil. Their three albums, NonAnthropogenic, SoulSaviour and VioLution released by Vendlus Records, constitute the Total Deconstruction trilogy, where the band dug far into the dark matter of the human mind in search for the ultimate apocalypse. The burning desire to explore new musical territories lead to a multitude of interesting collaborations and approaches within the extreme metal genre. As a result, V:28 has in many ways been a groundbreaking act in their field. The idea of doing a remix album was spawned at an early stage in the band's existence. Carefully selected artists were invited to use V:28 source material to make their own interpretation of a chosen track. Not only does this release mark the end of the band, but it also showcases the experimental side of the band and much of what has been a great source of inspiration for the cinematic and apocalyptic sound of V:28. - The Total Reconstruction was born! As a founding member of the legendary Swedish Black Industrial group MZ.412, Nordvargr combined industrial noise and black metal aesthetics into a satanic electronic warblast. But now, with Vargr, he's regressed even further, taking the primitive sounds of first wave Norwegian black metal and drowning the fierce, thrashing black buzz in al kinds of harsh noise and severe electronics. It's ridiculously vicious stuff, and Wehrmacht Satanas is filled with 11 tracks of this blackened violent noise, "True Black Nekronoise Metal" as Vargr himself calls it. After already releasing a very good compilation with Vol.1, Dark Ambient Radio managed to raise the level with this superb collection of dark ambient music. This is not a big surprise since the 11 songs on the CD were selected out of 26 quality tracks that have been submitted during 2008 and would have been sufficient to release a good 2CD compilation. The selection of the tracks was a painful but fair process as the participating artists voted for the tracks individually and the agglomerated rating decided which tracks ended up on the compilation. Hentai comes forth with a another churning, looping sounds cape, this one akin to being on a medieval torture rack, with the wheel and chains creaking and rolling as the skin starts to stretch. Thats for the first five minutes
whatever contraption youre transferred to after that, is surely designed to seal the deal. Dark, heavy, weighty, bone crushing clangs amidst a symphony of bent metal and scraping steel. Finally, Lasse Marhaug with a more minimalist approach

Down tempo and depressed washes of solemn and murky electronic soundscapes that move slowly through a foggy haze, with touches of dark ritualism. Gloom is the operative word here and feelings of emptiness and and despair run rampant throughout. Doesn't necessarily sound like Profane Grace (at least the majority of the time) but will appeal to the same crowd.. $10.66

Between the 2CDs (Emergence and Immersion) we're presented with over 2 1/2 hours of blissful, impossibly vast and spaced out psychedelic soundscapes in the classic VoE fashion - all completely improvised and spontaneous, though it seems amazingly composed. For those that were a bit turned off by the more structured aspects of Seven Directions (I know you're out there), this is more in line with their earlier releases; music more beautiful and wondrous than you could ever imagine, yet wrapped in warping vortex of darkness and fear. Scouring Soriah’s house for instruments, they commandeered some unfamiliar and handmade devices to play with. The result is The Portland Improvisations, where Voice of Eye are at their most raw and unadorned.
