Sacher Pelz - In Hoc Urbia Miazi (Old Europa Café: OECD090)
Very few are aware of the beginning of Maurizio Bianchi's adventures. Before starting the complex and compelling production of many records and tapes in the early eighties under the M.B. trademark, Maurizio Bianchi was documenting the new music scene writing essays and reviews for independent magazines. It was August 1979 in Milan, Italy and his sound was strengthening when he felt the time had come to prove his desire for something new. So he started his first solo project, under the name Sacher-pelz. 28 years later, SP is back, though stylistically, his sound has remained firmly rooted in the late ‘70’s-early ‘80s experimental era….a blur of tonal exploration, hissing white noise and minimalistic drones, with strange vocals that barely make it into the audible spectrum. MB calls this a 'clotted' sound, which somehow sounds fitting. Man, really challenging material, though will find appeal to fans of the early Come Organisation releases. Reminds me a lot of ChopShop, for those that remember that late ‘80s project.. $14.25

Sachiko - zUnya (Musik Atlach: MA006)

Live recording from the Summer of 2008 from vocal performer Sachiko. Grimey, rust filled factory drones developing into organic, psychedlic swarms of sound and then later, ghostly vocalizations. For those that remember, this sort of reminds me (at least the early part) of Chop Shop, whereas the latter part comes with a sort of Aghast quality.. $14.99

Sacrilege B.C. - Party With God (November Fire: NFRCD01)

A metal album in the Malignant catalog? This is not a mistake...in fact, on the contrary. I felt, as maybe the biggest fan of Sacrilege B.C. in existence (dating back to 1985) that it was my duty to expose as many people to this as possible. Maybe I won't even sell any, but I had to try. I know there's some metalheads that buy from me, so now's the time to step up. Party With God, to me, is inarguably one the greatest Bay thrash recordings of all time. Why they never got to be as big as Exodus or Dark Angel (not from the Bay Area, I know), is beyond me. This stuff is as good, if not better than anything out there, and absolutely crushes the new wave of thrash metal bands coming out. As one of the first truly cross over bands, they fused the speed and aggression of hardcore with the raging, memorable riffs that helped define the Bay Area thrash sound. Really, just listen to the introductory riff of Victimized and don't tell me and it's not as good as anything off Bonded by Blood. Some samples at Sacrilege BC myspace , where I encourage you to check out such classic tracks as Azmeroth and the almighty Crucified (though, the quality sounds much better on the CD of course). In nice fold out dig-pak with liner notes, including one from Robb Flynn of Machine Head. 17 tracks total, including their 4 track 1985 demo, that I probably listened to daily for a 2 year period. 23 years later, I'm not even remotely sick of listening to this.. $5.00

Sagentoter - Prayers to Othinn (Ahnstern: Ahnstern14)
A very fine folk album with some middle-age/Renaissance era instrumentation. Sagentoeter are members of Riharc Smiles (and sound very similar), which guarantees you a large variety of perfectly played acoustic instrumentsguitar, including Flamish Bagpipes, Recorder, Hurdy Gurdy, Nyckelharpa, Dalslandspipa, Flute, didgeridoo and percussion. Theres an authenticity and intimacy that you just can’t find in the majority of neo-folk being released (just check out the amazing track 5 as a personification of this) The lyrics are strong and heroic and tell from a ancient nordic Wolfage, while the music is at times quiet and a touch minimal, but very well composed and very traditional in feel. In wooden box.. $13.50

Sala - En-Trance (Autarkeia: ACD008)
2nd CD from this project, but my first experience with them, and quite a pleasant one it is. . From funprox.com: "En-trance" by Sala contains two long tracks, repetitive but with some surprising elements. As you could expect from the title, the music has a strong ritual, trance-inducing character. The rather improvised, free-flowing character of the music is explained by the fact that the two tracks were apparently recorded live (and almost a decade ago). Sala really creates a dense universe which completely surrounds you, with lots of primitive ritual percussion, deep drones, hammering on metal objects, the use of 'ethnic' wind instruments, strange chanting and other sound sources. Recommended if you need a soundtrack while performing your obscure magic rituals, or if you're inspired by projects like Hybryds, Militia, Deutsch Nepal or early Allerseelen. Not a lot in stock, currently, but more headed this way.. $6.00

Sanctum - New York City Bluster (CMI: CMI76)

Live document from Sanctum’s appearance at NY’s CBGBs in the Summer of ’99. Anyone that managed to catch one of the amazing shows they performed that year will have an idea of how good this CD is, others will just have to discover it for themselves. Seamlessly flows between urgent and dauntingly epic symphonic passages, to more aggressive, noise and rhythm infused industrial. No band is better at navigating between styles and genres, and here’s proof. Includes new tracks, a ten minute excerpt from the Parca Pace CD, and a few tracks from their debut CD. Extensive liner notes included.. $6.00

Sangre Cavallum - Patria Granitica (Ahnstern: Ahnstern18)

"Pátria Granítica” - Granite Fatherland - is the long awaited new album from the northern Portuguese Sangre Cavallum. The album contains ten powerful songs combining heroic traditional music and beautiful Folk-ballads, sometimes even with a slight avantgarde touch. The artists perfectly play a large variety of early traditional instruments, blended with electrical sounds and mesmerizing psychedelic arrangements. “Pátria Granítica” is a pagan journey into the world of stones of their historical homeland Callæcia and its gods, giving voice to the traditional heritage of granite warriors. Their first album "Barbara Carmina" was released on Michael Moynihan's (Blood Axis) label Storm. $13.33

Satori - Kanashibari (Cold Spring: CSR95CD)

CD version of the 2007 album from UK Dark Ambient / Fortean Electronics act Satori - Neil Chaney (Pessary) and Justin Mitchell (Cold Spring boss), originally issued on LP by Dogma Chase, Japan. "Kanashibari" is the Japanese term for sleep paralysis (literally "bound or fastened in metal"). The album explores this phenomena, manipulating Fortean sounds and deep dark ambience. CD version contains a bonus track 'Pavor Nocturnus', not available on the LP version.. $12.99

S:Cage - Madness Turns to Glass (Ant-Zen: Act206)
Two years after "Remote" S:Cage return with new album "Madness Turns To Glass". Stephen Seto has achieved the emotional response that he is known for; accomplished via his unique mixture of melody, aggression and icyness. What's astounding in S:Cage's work is the ability of mixing various moods through the assemblage of sounds. There is beauty and aggression at the same time but there is no disruption - this allure is perfectly exemplified by the 13+ minute track, "Madness" : a kaleidoscope of melodic keyboard lines, enriched with disturbing samples and sudden broken beats - it could be the symphony of an awakening megalopolis; a million individuals living their daily lives at the same time. Rhythm is ever present in S:Cage's compositions, but rhythm is not just a carrier of a 'beat' - in "Collapsing Breath", the structures change constantly, while the manipulated voices Seto collects are never overbearing, but an integral part of the instrumentation. Cordell Klier appears as guest musician and vocalist in "Sprawling, Endless Cities". On this CD nothing is as it seems - take "Vapour", a dreamy soundscape where voices from the real world and fast rhythmic textures interfere and affect the dream. When the record is over, other listens are instantly required to get a deeper understanding ( and pleasure ) from this work. Presented in special cardboard packaging. $14.50

Scorn - Stealth (Adnoiseam: Adnoiseam88)

Fifteen years after Scorn's début, and five whole years after his latest studio album, it is a transformed Mick Harris (noticeably by his come-back to his drum set) that deliver "Stealth", Scorn's 13th full length studio album. And while music has evolved a lot since 1992's "Vae Solis", Scorn has stayed true to his trademark sound. Downtempo, illbient, dubstep have come and gone, but Scorn remains the epitome of minimal, dry beats, wall-of-sound unequalled basses and deep, mesmerizing drones. Not only a massive, bodily experience, Scorn's monumental tracks (which have proved over the years to provide for unforgettable live sets) impress by their focus and efficiency. Keeping only the bare minimum of what defines dub, Scorn drives these few elements (sparse beats, echoes, and most of all, bass) to their extreme. A godfather of the current come-back of slow, heavy basses in club music, Scorn's method still stand out with its towering, dark and minimal approach. "Stealth" is no exception. Spacious in its execution, oppressive, humongous in its outcome; let it be heard: Scorn is back.. $13.33

Scott Hull - Audiofilm 3inch CD (Crucial Blast: CBR71)

Scott Hull is already well known in the grind/metal underground for his devastating riffage in Pig Destroyer and Agoraphobic Nosebleed; outside of extreme metal, however, Scott has also worked on dark, sumptuous soundscapes and ambient film scores at his Visceralsound lair that have just recently began to appear in recorded form over the past few years. Scott's Requiem CD that came out through Relapse Records earlier this year was one of the first official releases of his film score/soundscape work, and was widely embraced by fans of bleak cinematic ambience and chilling electronic sound sculpture. Crucial Blast is following that amazing disc with a series of limited-edition 3" CDs that each feature a short, 10+ minute piece of fearsome dark ambient music from Scott that showcase his skill at blending blackend Lustmordian drift with terrifying mixing techniques that clot the mind's eye with unnerving, nightmarish sound events. This first part of the Audiofilm Series is a terrifying fug of demonic drone that utilizes delirious stereo panning and slabs of obsidian ambience, and it slowly unfolds over the length of the piece to reveal layers of malevolent black drone and unsettling voices seemingly lost between planes of shadow. Audiofilm I plays out like a wildly hallucinogenic horror film score, and anyone into Scott's previous ambient/soundscape work will find this to be one of his darkest pieces yet. The disc is limited to a single pressing of 1,000 copies, packaged in a tiny 4" x 4" glossy gatefold jacket with stunning full color artwork from artist Seldon Hunt. Recommended to enthusiasts of the isolationist terror of Painkiller’s Execution Ground ambient disc, Lustmord, and Scorn.. $6.00

Sect - Babylon Rising (Midnight Productions: MN022)

Martial neo-classical project hailing from Poland, known for their previous release on Rage in Eden. This album is based on the themes of the rise and fall of ancient Babylon. Epic and flowing neo-classical with high tension martial elements. $13.50

Sect - Great Desired Utopia (Rage in Eden: Rage58)

Pretty strong debut for this Polish act. 15 tracks of dark industrial atmospheres, mixing machine sounds with bleak orchestrations and military accents. CD in digipack. Artwork made by Michal Karcz.. $13.50

Sect - Imperative (Rage in Eden: Rage69)

With his second album Lukasz Maj, the man behind Sect, has returned with his strongest and most mature work to date. This time we get more bombastic and often militant orchestral and industrial music than on the debut. Sect managed to expand his ideas and turn them into classical orchestration, so with "Imperative" we get mature, powerful orchestral piece of music in the vein of Arditi, Sophia or Predella Avant. The majestic, threatening, dark and sometimes aggressive and fierce symphonic sounds arranged in a dark concept album with a brilliant balance of bombastic and melancholic fragments should satisfy both martial industrial fanatics and neo-classical orchestra enthusiasts.. $14.99

Seeker - Invocation of the Sleeper (Autumn Wind Productions: AWP013)

One 25 minute track of black, ritualistic atmospheres, and dark unsettling tones & frequencies. Very grim and bleak, and heavy on the dread. Reminds me a little bit of Profane Grace, though with better production values. From Lebanon.. $10.00

Seelenlicht - Gods and Devils (Cold Spring: CSR86CD)

This stunning debut release from a project of Troy Southgate (H.E.R.R.) and Butow Maler (Kammer Sieben) contains 14 darkly satirical compositions that strip bare the mechanism of human nature and the madness of the contemporary world. Comprised of Gothic murder ballads, electronic, folk and neoclassical elements, this album is brimming with originality, enthusiasm and creativity. Guests: Herr Twiggs (Kammer Sieben), Maria Southgate (H.E.R.R.) and Eustacia Vye (Horologium).. $14.25

Seelenthron - Wege (Heimatfolk: Heimatfolk01)

After their outstanding debut-album "Heimkehr" and the CD-single "Steingeworden", finally appears now the second fulltime-album of the two former Dies Natalis protagonists Norbert Strahl and Alex Meier. "Wege" is a classical Neo-Folk album in best tradition. Some songs mirror a sad, sometimes even gloomy picture of the world inside and outside of ourselves, other songs are just filigree Folk-balads, as beautiful and dreamy as one could imagine. Nevertheless all nine songs always stand strong and powerful, showing a path to the listener, never to turn back and never to lose his courage. Martial rhythms drum stirringly to neoclassical compositions, united with impassionate piano- and guitarplaying and electronic sounds. The challenging lyrics on "Wege" deal with the stages in one's life, our path through time and the questions for the meaning and the purpose of life. 9 tracks / 40 Min.. $15.75

Seelenthron/Traum'er Leben/Trinithos - III (Heimatfolk: Heimat02)

"III" is a 3-way split album by the classic German NeoFolk bands Seelenthron, Traumer'er Leben and Trinithos. On this album each band interprets their favourite songs by the other 2 bands + one own new song by each artist. The finale of "III" is a bonus track by Alexander Meier (Seelenthron) - a fantastic, neoclassical coverversion of a Soulsearch/Sturmpercht song. The 3 bands are well known and highly recommended in the German NeoFolk scene, as they are all fantastic musicians and great live-artists. Seelenthron and Traum'er Leben have already released several outstanding albums, but for Trinithos "III"marks their official debut after some very limited CDR releases.. $11.50

Sehnsucht - Wuste (Cold Spring: CSR124CD)

Former MAYHEM front man MANIAC, whose band SKITLIV has proved to be a surprising departure from the Black Metal genre for which he was best known for over 20 years, has formed a side-project with fiancé Vivian Slaughter, bass player/vocalist with the Japanese all-girl band GALLHAMMER, SKITLIV's guitarist Ingvar Magnusson and experimentalist Andrew Liles (NURSE WITH WOUND). Unlike SKITLIV, which is a noise/doom amalgam, with Maniacs vocals still firmly rooted in Black Metal, SEHNSUCHT is in the noise / darkwave / ambient genre, with any vestiges of Black Metal pared away. 6-panel digipak.. $13.33

Sektion B - Hidden Tracks (L-White: LW051)

12 Sektion B tracks from some rare compilations and out of print gems as done for their Japan tour., featuring one track with Green Army Fraction.!!! Ultra pure German power electronics...confrontational, agitating, and extreme with vocals that approach impossible levels of intensity and an ideology sure to piss some people off.Includes Abraxas 2001 ad., No Tomorrow, Crimetime (short remix), The World is On Fire (11.9.01 remix), Sleepers Wake Up, Everyone's a Killer (remix), Agent Orange - Bloody Rain, We Kill Again, Born to Be..., and more! A must. $14.50

Sektor 304 - Primary Interface/Transmissions 2CD (Self-released: SekPIT)

Nice two CDr set put together by Sektor themselves, coupling some of their earlier, pre-Soul Cleansing work. Don't expect the more structured, Swans/Godflesh style industrial of that release, but rather something noisier and more primary, built around loops, grinding machine shop noise, rhythmic subway clangs, and bleak atmospheres, sprinkled with some antagonistic vocals (think Linija Mass). No, it's not Soul Cleansing, but it still kicks ass and is a necessary companion to that brilliant release.. $11.00

Sektor 304 - Soul Cleansing (Malignant: TumorCD43)

Equipped with a frightening and impressive array of primitive instrumentation pulled from junkyards and scrap metal heaps, this Portuguese outfit has delivered an astounding formal debut – a heady mixture of truly old school industrial in the vein of Einsturzende Neubauten, Test Dept , and S.P.K , and the grinding, bass heavy dirge of vintage Swans and Godflesh . These are anthems to the past, but geared towards an apocalyptic and bleak future… a form of counter-culture using what is most evident in modern western society: the debris, the abandoned objects, the waste, the noise, and the interference.
With a solid foundation of rusty, oil drenched percussion, Sektor 304 adds layer upon layer of squalling industrial clangor, hammering metallic noise, grimy atmospheres, heaving masses of haunted factory drones, and threatening tribal batter, with a strong and commanding vocal presence. The sound here is almost physical in nature – provocative, persistent, and demanding. No one is doing what Sektor 304 is doing right now. Anyone into TRUE industrial (and that includes not just the aformentioned old guard, but also things like Strom.ec , Militia, Negru Voda , and Knifeladder ) really should not miss out.In 6 panel digipak, mastered by Steel Hook Audio. 3 tracks posted on the Malignant myspace, so be sure to check them out if you want an idea of what Sektor brings to the table. $12.00

Seven Pines - Le Cri (Le Clurican: CL004)

After three long years of silence "Le Cri" marks the return of this great project by Eric Roger ( of Gaë Bolg ) delivering 70 minutes of new and intense music which continues where the last ‘regular’ album "Nympholept" left off. "Le Cri" is a collection of 8 dark and psychedelic mad songs, composed by Eric Roger during 3 years of despair and personal troubles. The album features guest appearances by Karl Blake ( Sol Invictus, British Racing Green ), Omne Datum Optimum, Silver Lady, Pilori, Othila, the Cynfeirdd Chorus and many others !. $13.66

Sewer Goddess/Diseased Oblivion - Split CDr (Degenerate Slime Distro: DSD01)

Lmtd 100 CDr split. Two tracks from SG kick things off - the first a nice slab of blackened, super heavy dirge with spoken vocals and some gently discordant feedback squall. The second track is all fucking doom - total morbidity, with down tuned bass, mutated guitar riffs, slow, crushing percussion, and ungodly, bloodcurdling screams. Maybe my favorite Sewer Goddess track of all time, which is really saying something. After this track, what Diseased Oblivion does is really inconsequential, but for the record, they deliver some high quality, death-doom: slow (naturally), towering, and heavily atmospheric with impossibly low, gurgling vocals that sound utterly inhuman. This just oozes evil. Lmtd stock that's sure to go fast, which is somewhat of a shame, because this could really stand to use a broader audience.. $9.00

Shift - Sleep Paralysis (Freak Animal: FreakCD048)

Re-issue of the tape done by Freak Animal not so long ago. A landmark in Shifts discography. Heaviness, slowness, heavily processed vocals, deep throbbing synths... Somewhere between power electronics, death industrial, heavy drone, not fitting exactly to the easy sub-genres, but suitable for anyone appreciating dark and heavy electronics. Full color covers in jewelbox. Freak Animal. $14.95

Sigma Octantis - Dislocations (Divine Comedy: DC059)

The music by Sigma Octantis is hard to describe, but it is certainly very obsessive. A crossing path between ritual and harsh ambient music, deeply rooted in the experimental films and music of the 80s. Definitely one of the most abstract acts from a label that never really turned mainstream. This brand new release comes with a collage by Fab (founder of Divine Comedy) which tries to decipher the disincarnated but structured dimension of Sigma Octantis' musical realms. Influences remain the same (Morthound most noticeably but also, MB, Militia, Megaptera and perhaps the quieter side of BDN), but this opus presents a more melodic touch than its predecessor. It captures the same feeling but in a more bombastic, cruel and complex way. It is, dare we say, a bit unnerving?!. $8.00

Simon Kolle - Res Dej Inte! (Neuropa: NRP24)

An original motion picture soundtrack composed by Simon Kolle of Abnocto and Za Frumi fame, who of course was already making some pretty suberb cinematic music as is, just not offically part of a soundtrack like this is. According to the press release, the film is a dark, realistic story, following three youth gangs, their lives, and their time spent on the streets. Over a relatively short span the characters deal with paranoia, pain, violence and more. The film is powerful and grim, with the last scenes totally unforgettable. The plot comes to a sudden end and there are no truths about what really happened. More than a film, Res dej inte! is a comment about the ongoing violence in society. Suitably, the music is dark suspenseful, broken up into short segments and spanning a broad array of sounds. Mostly though this is heavily atmospheric and ambient, with occasional outbursts of a more violent and dramatic nature, as you might expect based on the plot. As it draws to an end, there's a series of rather structured, folky songs that I assume are important to the plot, though they're slightly out of place here. Easy to overlook in an otherwise strong piece of work.. $13.99

Sistrenatus - Magnetic Resonance CDr (Sophisticate Pleasure: SPR002)

Submerging its listeners beneath a new layer of sludge and grime, Sistrenatus strikes again with a 20 minute cut of sprawling audio decay. Heavy, echoing percussion, shards of staticy, crude tape noise, wind and drones. Magnetic Resonance is a powerful aural exploration of haunted spaces long forgotten.Factory duplicated Pro CDR in a hand made pro printed Digipack. 200 copies limited edition. Outstanding!. $8.99

Skare - Solstice City (Glacial Movements: GM005)

Skare is the collaboration of Mathias Josefson (Moljebka Pvlse), Fredrik Olofsson and Per Åhlund. The members of Skare are all fascinated by the circulation of water, snow and ice. The metamorphosis from gas to floating liquid to snow to solid ice through freezing, the light reflecting from the snow and filtered through the ice as a prisma and - most of all - the sound of this ever ongoing circle.Skare's first album, Solstice City, is an interpretation of a journey through a shifting landscape where the city meets nature. Departing from a distant and foreign shore, the traveller embarks a ship, uncertain of his destination. This prelude, introduced vividly in "To the other shore", releases this pilgrim to further explore yet unchartered territories. Leaving all man-made conventions, the second track "Through Wind and Broken Ice" takes us where the city imitates nature. Finally, a factory appears in the whiteout; a place where angels are manufactured as presented in the final track "The Snow Angel Factory"... The vehicles used by Skare on this journey are field recordings, found sounds and treated and manipulated instruments.. $14.99

Skincage - Things Fall Apart (Spectre: SpectreS28)

Six years later, the second CD for Skincage. Mainly created with broken or somehow manipulated selfmade instruments, this has a contextual style that brings to mind Coil or later-day Shinjuku Thief. Skincage treats us to a dense pallet of electronics, exploratory noises, found sounds, acoustic samples, and electrical glitches. This constantly stays in motion, and demands your attention at every turn. $16.99

Skinwell - Tunnels (Angle Rec: AR0506)

On Skinwell's Tunnels, Christian Corvellec and Martin Dumais serve up an hour-long exercise in industrial ambient-noise dronescaping, with the emphasis more on the ambient than noise side of the equation. “Orcvent” proves that the two are eminently capable of working up an apocalyptic roar when the mood strikes, but the track eschews the harrowing screech of a prototypical Merzbow assault for something less obliterating. Likewise, the cyclonic “Theodolite” churns relentlessly for nine minutes without ever reaching a pain-inducing pitch. Dumais (multi-slab processing, analog melodic extractions) and Corvellec (initial templates and layers, digital processing) ensnare the listener with cycling patterns and machine-like pulsations, much of it smothered in foggy textures and gnarly noise. A steady pitch of controlled squalls and unearthly industrial rumble opens “Floor” but gradually a bruising, indomitable throb moves to the forefront to eventually overpower the other sounds. In “Dissiminate,” a careening ghost-like specter hums at the center of cyclonic thrums and ear-piercing pitches, while the comparatively gentler “Fissionned” stretches its piano-like streams through softly crackling whooshes of static and hum as synthetic swoops ring out in the distance. Skinwell saves its deepest plunge, “Grim Coast,” for last, at which point the duo works up a steam-shop factory sweat for a good seventeen minutes. Textura.. $12.33

Skitliv - Amfetamin (Cold Spring: CSR90CD)

Exclusive release from the Doom / Noise project of Maniac (ex-MAYHEM), featuring Kvarforth (SHINING), and with special guest vocals by Attila (SUNN O))), MAYHEM). From Black Metal through Funeral Doom and Demonic Noise, Skitliv cover all the bases in modern extreme sonics. The CD version includes bonus tracks from Skitliv's live performance at the Camden Underworld, London, 13th December 2007, with a special intro from CURRENT 93 (David Tibet & Andrew Liles).. $14.25

Skm-Etr - Screwdriver City 3inch CD (Freak Animal: FreakCD32)

Another rip roaring ride through Skm-Etr country. 5 fat tracks of ultra crushing walls of heavy electronics with lots of warm distortion and wet, fluctuating frequencies. Noisy, but not noise! Good, strong, processed vocals and proper use of samples completes the picture. This got back to back listens almost immediately. No frills, no fillers, just fucking good old fashioned power electronics.. $10.50

Skrol - Insomnia Dei (Membrum Debile Propoganda: MDP6000-62)

Release of a 1997 recording originally planned for an American label (not Malignant ;) that never saw the light of day. Daunting, aggressive and bombastic neo-classical with forceful brass loops and turgid, hammering percussion. Strong female vocals make this a must for fans of The Moon Lay Hidden.. $8.00

Skullflower - Tribulation (Crucial Blast: CD055)
The new emission from the UK trance-noise legends SKULLFLOWER. A black-void beaming of utterly destroyed drone rock and crushing amplifier obliteration that rains down black ash and punishing blasts of feedback skree on the listener. A dynamic, bleary-eyed meditation. An avalanche of powerdrone that threatens to take your cranium apart and transport your grey matter into filthy new dimensions infested with melodic razor cuts and submerged mantras. A triumphant eruption of apocalyptic meta-metal and radioactive raga swarms, guaranteed to loosen eardrums. This album is one of the heaviest, harshest slabs of guitar armageddon from Matt Bower since the glory days of Total, and bridges the void between the krautrock/celestial free drone influence of the last few Skullflower albums, and the blackened molten death of his Mirag material.. $5.00

Sleepchamber - Sorcery, Spells and Serpent Charms (Klanggalerie: Klang132)

The comeback album from this highly influential, pioneering US Fetish Industrial act. "Sorcery, Spells and Serpent Charms" is the first all-new album since 1998! Hallucinatory ambient soundscapes, trande inducing invokations, and John Zewizz's unique voice mark SLEEPCHAMBER'S return with a very dark ritualistic album, a brand new band line-up, and a new spelling! Magickal as ever, and containing some of the best musick they have ever recorded...at least in a long time. This is a limited edition of 500 copies.. $14.99

Sleep Chamber - Species Interruptus - Live from the German Tour Vol #1 (Inner-X Musick: XXX-02)

Long thought forgotten, Sleep Chamber has dipped into the vaults to bring us 15 tracks from their 1997 German tour. Crystal clear, near studio quality recordings of dark electronica, mixing the more rhythmic stylings of the latter years, with the darker, ritual works of the early years. Includes the tracks: Snakebite, Way ov the Flesh, The Moons Darker Side, Monkeyman, Submit to Desire.. $9.99

Sleep Chamber - Stolen Sleep (Inner-X Musick: IX-001)

Stolen Sleep marks a triumphant return for Sleepchamber. Nearly every song on the CD revolves around the theme of a mummy stolen from his "Sleep Chamber". The only exception being the hard driving track "Nightsuit". Interestingly enough "Nightsuit" is basically a Zewizz solo track with only the kick drum added by Avakian. "Nightsuit" also happens to be my personal favorite on the release. Other strong performances can be found on the epic "Tomb" with its driving base line and clocking in at 12 minutes it is a tour de force that begs a dance mix. Also, surprisingly enough there are two instrumental on the release. "Temple Ov Isis" and "Cult Ov Anubus" both capture the feel of a ancient Egypt, but with a Sleepchamber twist. Lastly the CD comes with a blast from the past. "Kum Kleopatra Kum" originally from 1985s "Submit To Desire", has been revamped and modernized and a perfect fit on the new release. The new line up of B Avakian and Gimmie Sparks along with Zewizz pull together a masterfully crafted release. And perhaps the best surprise of all is Zewizzs voice has improved with age. The whispery style he once used has been replaced by a growl. What once seemed to be an invitation to decadence, now seems to be a command. My hope is this line up stays together for more musick in the years to come. If you loved Sleepchamber before, this is a must have! Theebradmiller. $11.99

Sleep Chamber - Stratocast CDr (Inner-X Musick: XXX68)

Recorded live on WBRS/FM 1 on 1.1.10. Excellent stereo broadcast! Recorded under a 'Sirkle Moon' (Blue Moon). Featuring John Zewizz, Gimmie Sparks, Bob Avakian, Tick, & Zora. With tracks from "2012", "Stolen Sleep", "Siamese SuccubiI" and all new material never heard before.. $12.66

Smell & Quim - A Sod's As Good As A Wank To A Blind Arse (Industrial Recollections: IR_SQ02)

Re-issue of a cassette originally released on SFCR with all studio material. As with all work from the notorious S&Q this balances on the edge somewhere between of genius and retard.Obscure aesthetics mixing culture, art, sleaze, humor, collaged weirdness, and noise actions into a unique mix that can be only from S&Q! Compared to Christmas album, this has a harsher feel, with more junk metal noises and crunch. Re-issued with artwork following the original ideasand sound re-mastered by band with slightly more clarity... $14.33

Smell & Quim - The Christmas Album (Industrial Recollections: IR-SQ01)

Re-issue of a cassette originally released on SFCR and includes studio and live material. As with all work from the notorious S&Q this balances on the edge somewhere between of genius and retard.Obscure aesthetics mixing culture, art, sleaze, humor, collaged weirdness, and noise actions into a unique mix that can be only from S&Q! Re-issued with artwork following the original ideasand sound re-mastered by band with slightly more clarity.. $14.33

Somatic Responses - Reformation (Adnoiseam: Adnoiseam110)

It was time for a major change: 14 years after their first release, Somatic Responses decided to rethink their music and change their path radically. If their early productions were of the hardcore and techno kind, and while they later moved on to breakcore territories, Somatic Responses have now embraced more up-to-date and modern sounds, and tackled the current dubstep sound that has taken their native UK by storm. While the heavy, gritty and very synthetic sound that has become a trademark of Somatic Responses is still to be heard on “Reformation”, John and Paul Healy have tamed the tempo and humanised their music on “Reformation”. Warmer, deeper, rounder (all things reflected by Nick Nenov's artwork), this new album show how these icons of the challenging electronic scene are still able to open their ears and tap fresh ideas from today's music sensbilities. From the title track to the closing “Who's Stoppin Ya Killer”, “Reformation” is not only the fruit of breakcore musicians gone dubstep, but a lot more a display of how this new music genre can benefit from their experience and taste for hard-edged, raw productions. In this sense, this album is an accurate meeting point of influences, and something from which many could learn. Massive, human, driven, fresh: 6 years after the “Dying Language” CD, Somatic Responses come back to Ad Noiseam with a new rhetoric, and what might be a lasting new taste. Re-inventing themselves, threading new paths and bridging sounds in ways that had not been explored so far, “Reformation” is a major release for Somatic Responses, paving the way to more brilliant releases to come.. $12.50

Space Alliance - Volume 2 Special Edition CD/3 (Old Europa Café: OECD094SE)

Collaborative effort between members of Ain Soph and D.B.P.I.T. Flowing, spacey (what else??) electronics with glitches, percolating cosmic wavelengths and hypnotic rhythm beds. This has dark elements, but is definitely not dark ambient. www.myspace.com/spacealliance Includes mindi 3" CDr in metal tin. Lmtd 150 copies. $20.00

Spectre - 10 Pezzi Facili (Old Europa Café: OECD119)

Second solo album for Marcello Fraioli, aka Spectre, better known as the Ain Soph singer and guitarist! Splinterskin - Wayward Souls (Cold Spring: CSR114)

Caught in the oblivious borderland, Splinterskin unveils his spell after years of solitude and hermetic isolation, in the form of a harsh, dark folk music. His tales are told using an old classical guitar accompanied by haunting vocals, violin, and soothing whispers cradled in the delicate atmospheres of autumn. With simple yet mystically riddled lyrics that beckon, Splinterskin taunts the listener with hidden meanings, allegorical concepts, nearly indescribable deep feelings, and a sense of universal understanding only a spirit as Splinterskin could possibly weave together as music.‘Wayward Souls’ is a collection of tales blending life and death, entities & creatures, hidden wisdom, unknown places, pain and suffering, folklore, possession, insanity, nature and the dark world that surrounds. With tales such as 'Dancing Dead Men,' 'The Thing that Wasn't,' and 'Chanting Bells Call Shadows', one can only suspect the moods are of a dark, moody and nightmarish nature...yet, there are no words to truly describe Splinterskin's message or music. $12.33

S.Q.E. - Rise of the Vulcans (Old Europa Café: OECD080)
Quite a surprising release for this project, and not necessarily a bad one. I’ts been a while since I listened to SQE, but they seem to have moved from a sort of lo-fi cosmic drone band, to a eclectic electro, dub, space ambient, neo-folk hybrid. Sounds terrible, right? Nope…it ain’t. It’s surprisingly well produced and slick sounding (relatively speaking), finding a nice balance between being ominous and beautiful, melodic and discordant. Features contributions from Ure Thrall, Tone Wakeford, Kris Force (Amber Asylum) and others.. $12.00

Stahlwerk9 - Retrokmekanik 2CD Special Edition (Steinklang: SK48)

Probably the most powerful album Stahlwerk 9 ever did, this album consists of unreleased songs, recorded between 1999 and 2007 for various never released compilations as well as some other unreleased songs from the band's early years and 2 perfectly recorded and exclusive live-songs. Total electronic doom featuring solemn and oppressively heavy atmospheres and orchestral movements that create a densely brooding, post industrial soundscape, teetering at times on the edge of power electronics. Super powerful and dark stuff from one of the new masters. The limited edition includes a CDR with all compilation-tracks up to 2006 and other rare songs.. $19.50

Stahlwerk9 - Revolution of the Anti-Christ (Steinklang: SK43)
Regular edition. Stahlwerk 9's new Dark / Death Ambient manifestation "R.O.T.A." is a quiter, more subdued and ritual incantation, compared to his more recent works. "R.O.T.A." can be compared to his earlier albums "Oradour" and "1905", but a lot more sacral. Deep, sumbliminal rhythms, heavy organ sounds and ominously dronning soundscapes guide you to your private Aramgeddon. A blackest soundtrack for the end of the world...The stunning artwork for "R.O.T.A" consists of a Deluxe folder in 7" size, holding 10 large inlays on heavy cardbord. All paintings on the folder and the inlays were drawn by the Russian artist Alexander Nemkovsky who also worked with Peter Anderson ( Raison d'Etre ). Not in a box, but still nice packaging with the same inserts. $15.50

Steel Hook Prostheses - Atrocitizer (Malignant: TumorCD34)

As long time admirers of this Texas two piece, it seemed only a matter of time before Steel Hook Prostheses would find a home with Malignant. While Atrocitizer will probably not be considered their most aggressive release, it is unquestionably their most unsettling and creepy. 10 tracks in total and close to 50 minutes of death industrial in it’s purest form, dripping and oozing with sinister intentions, and full of grim electronics, unnerving pulsations, and cold frequency spasms that swarm from a fetid pit of malevolence. Add in a steady stream of ultra menacing , processed vocals and nightmarish samples, and surely you have one of the more disturbing releases ever to be released on Malignant. Steel Hook Prostheses formed in 1999, and since then have amassed an impressive discography of limited CDR releases. Atrocitizer is just their second full length non CDR release following 2005's Light Reflected From A Cold Cutting Table. In 6 panel digipak. $9.00

Steel Hook Prostheses - Torturous Anxiety (L-White: LW028)

Finally back in stock! From Scott Candey/Wormgear: This is a new 10 song CD release in an oversized plastic bag and color sleeve package with some great grindhouse style cover art. Steel Hook Prostheses has always adeptly combined numerous elements of Dark Ambient, Death Industrial and Power Electronics, and this release shows them developing that concoction further. "Shrine Of Mutilation" opens the disc with about three minutes of nice droning ambience before the cycling distortions and processed vocals emerge. The vocals are delivered more in a exaggerated speaking manner than relentless full blown screams and it works well with the remaining ambience at the foundation of the track. "Dismemberment" uses gritty deep synth tones, throbbing noise abrasions and a venomous vocal attack to slowly build into a heaving beast. "The Masochist" begins with some minimal drones and a sample that gives rise to a ragged loop of distortion and swelling noise. The vocals on this track are lower in the mix and behave more like additional sound layer rather than a obvious vocal tract. "Parasitic" has a churning Death Industrial flair with some nice analog electronics sounds, and crispy distortions against a heavy tonal low end, and again the vocals are there but within the mix rather than on top of it. Tracks eight and nine are remixes by Control and Azoikum respectively, and fit nicely into the context of the album while still showing the fingerprints of the remixers. The things I really like about this project include their use of noise and atmosphere in unison, it leads to deeper and more sinister moods that build detail and allow for different ways to listen to the tracks. They consistently change up the processing on the vocals and the way the vocals are delivered so as not to get redundant and to actually match the tone of the sonics rather than just spitting them out methodically over whatever is there. This is a project that has improved with each new installment to their discography and definitely worth investigating if you are still unfamiliar”. Lmtd 200 copies. $13.99

Sten Ove Toft - Lit de Parade (Vendlus: Vendlus)

Sten Ove Toft is one of the leading artists in the Norwegian noise scene.Apart from being an active solo artist, Toft has also validated himselfthrough such significant projects as Ryfylke, Röyskatt, Waffelpung andothers. He's also worked with Lasse Marhaug, Anders Hana, Stian Westerhus,Serena Maneesh and The Low Frequency In Stereo. Toft has performed over 200concerts and has participated in over 50 releases, on labels all over theworld.Toft's compositions have a brooding, organic feel, like witnessing somegargantuan organism that heaves slowly and is ready to unleash a world ofdarkness on the listener to succumb to. The songs grow to an unnervingpresence either by a monotonous, deafening tone, or through more organic, pulsating soundscapes, like heavy breathing or a bellow slowly igniting asoon-to-become raging furnace. As these build ups reach their climax, Toftdispels the minimalism and revels in shorter spans of crackling andall-encompassing, sinister noise, richly structured, incorporating foundsounds and samples provided by other key artists on the same scene, such asthe notable Lasse Marhaug.. $7.00

Stereocaine - We Are the Clay CDr (Snowy Tension Pole: STP002)

Second release from this Polish project, who create quite visual recordings by artfully blending cinematic and dark ambience with melodic and melancholy neo-classical.. $8.00

Steve Roach/Vidna Obmana - Spirit Dome - Live Archive 2CD (Projekt: Projekt225)

Spirit Dome returns with a perfect companion, Live Archive. Two out-of-print releases from this acclaimed ambient duo are brought together in this value-priced 2-CD release. Living proof of the power of live performance, these recordings are so immediate and engaging it would be easy to assume they were crafted over months in the studio. Live Archive, from their 1997 tour, serves as a natural complement to 2004's Spirit Dome, recorded live to stereo master in one take in a studio-like environment. Steve Roach / vidnaObmana's 2002 CD InnerZone served as the doorway to the surreal environment explored on Spirit Dome. Recorded in one continuous 74 minute session in a hotel room in Philadelphia, this is a dark sanctuary of pure texture and beautiful, if foreboding, dissonance pulled along with pulsing beats, subtle loops and dense soundworlds. The track captures a chilling gothic ambience that offers the exploration of remote psychological states of awareness. This is achieved by way of extensive live processing of instruments including fujara (overtone flute), guitar, and the seemingly bottomless wellspring of electro-acoustic sounds found only in the soundscapes of the duo. Live Archive, on the other hand, collects peak performance moments of pure energy and emotion from the duo's live adventures. The wide range of venues, traveling to various countries, and above all their first tour together fueled their mutual intentions, challenging the artists to create music that does not know the limits of jet lag, equipment failures, and physical demands which occur when leaving the sanctuary of the studio.. $12.99

Stone Glass Steel - Dismembering Artists (Malignant: TumorCD10)

Release of the very first, thought to be lost, SGS recording, all remastered and remixed for optimum clarity and pulverizing effect. A raw, less polished and outwardly less atmospheric rendition of the SGS formula, Dismembering Artists stands as an important document in the evolution of Stone Glass Steel's unique sound. Equipped with a dizzying array of percussive firepower and churning machine sounds as it's backbone, Dismembering Artists perpetually morphs and evolves with surging eruptions of radiant noise, shimmering factory drones, and velocity driven rhythms. Like all of Phil's work, this is a complex assemblage of sampled, re-assembled and deconstructed sound, with the familiar being destroyed and rebuilt into a dynamic display of aggression and unbridled power, done only the SGS knows how.. $5.00

Stormfagel - Edlvakt Boxset (Steinklang: SK51Box)

Stormfagel - Eldvakt (Steinklang: SK51)

Following two well received CDs on CMI, Steinklang now finds a new home at Steinklang, and delivers perhaps their strongest material yet - an incredible mix of early Derniere Volonte and Rome with a strong touch of new Blood Axis. Pure Martial PowerPop at it's very best. $14.33

Stormfågel - Ett Berg Av Fasa (Cold Meat Industry: CMI171)

We can honestly say that Stormfågel have produced a stunning follower to their charming debut album from 2005, "Den Nalkande Stormen" (cmi149); quoted as "one of the most powerful neofolk debuts of 2005" (Heathen Harvest).Stormfågel, Swedish born Andreas Neidhardt and Hungarian vocalist Eva Mag, are back to bless us with a surprisingly phenomenal new work! The music of Stormfagel combines ethnic sounding neofolk compositions sung in Hungarian by Eva, with martial tinged orchestral selections sung by Andreas and Eva together, and their new album, "Ett Berg Av Fasa", impregnates with a beautiful blend of their very special mixture of Swedish / Hungarian martial neofolk orchestrations. The strong and confident voice of Eva Mag sings across the music, in Swedish and in Hungarian as traditional chants, which works extraordinary well with the dark romantic orchestral strings and ritualistic martial drummings, the violins, the bells, keyfiddle and woodwinds. Marching forward over fields, through ancient woods; Stormfågel has made its nest and is here to stay. The album is mastered by Jouni Havukainen (In Slaughter Natives) and again presented in a nice digipak.. $14.35

Storm of Capricorn/Paranoia Inducta - Jama (Beast of Prey: BOP3.0)
Split CD between this French project Storm of Capricon and Polish project Paranoia Inducta. Based around a poem entitled ‘Jama’, written by murdered Croatian Resistance fighter Ivan Kovacic. A very solid mixture of dark atmospheres, martial sounds and emotive folk-lore inspired soundscapes. Impressive stuff all around, especially from Storm of Capricorn, who deliver some of the best stuff I’ve heard from them. CD issued very originally in A5 format, folding cover with two additional postcards and photography, with the usual high quality design work from BoP. 45 minutes of music issued on CD, all in atypical graphic style. $13.00

Stratvm Terror - Fixation (Old Europa Café: OECD072)

Re-stock! I’ve been listening to industrial music for some 20 odd years or so, and few tracks have hit me as hard as the second track on this disc. It’s an absolute bruiser of a track, and an instant classic. High voltage tazer gun pulsations and buzz saw cacophony with a dirty, corrosive, iron fisted injection of scrap metal chaos. And that’s before it even kicks in! At high volume, it’ll have you on the floor in delightful convulsions. Nothing else achieves the same brilliance (though some try), but that’s almost impossible. Still, this whole CD is considerably harsher than the previous output, harking a bit back to the earlier cassette years, but upping the ante even more; slamming vault door percussion, grinding metallics, samples, dense, cluttered factory din, claustrophobic atmospheres and gritty noise, and at times, vocals on par with the intensity of Slogun. It all comes together. If I made music, I’d probably try and make it like Fixation. Includes one live track, one track from the Death Odors II, 7 older (never release tracks), and two newly recorded tracks. $13.99

Stratvm Terror - Genetic Implosions (Old Europa Café: OECD29)

Re-stock! 7 studio tracks plus 3 live tracks recorded in 1998 during the Nursery Injection Festival in Stockholm! Harsher and more powerful than ever before, with mass eruptions of tumultuous noise and churning, deformed sounds ripped and torn (with ragged metallic teeth) straight from the infested bowels of the machine. Ferocious and unrelenting material that’s sure to leave scars. A must!. $13.99

Stratvm Terror - Pain Implantations (Old Europa Café: OECD118)

Re-issue of the Malignant CD from 1998. Though, why you would drastically change the artwork is beyond me...I always thought that was one of the cooler looking CDs I did. No matter, it's all good. Pain Implantations, comparatively speaking, is a more subdued listen than some of the other Stratvm Terror CDs, but still delivers quite a punch. Shimmering, corrosive, and highly dynamic atmospheres surging and churning with tension and volatile distortion, with the tracks reaching incredible heights of intensity. This re-release from Old Europa Cafe, totally refurbished from the original master and added with two more songs, is presented with complete new artwork.. $8.00

Stratvm Terror - Pariah Demise (Old Europa Café: OECD006)
Re-issue of this out of print industrial classic from 1996. Pariah Demise, the very first CD album by Stratvm Terror, has been re-mastered with additional extra material from the also out of print and equally classic Germinal Chamber tape, plus one bonus track from the same period. Bristle with the dark, rabid, claustrophobic energy of a fever induced, hallucinogenic nightmare. Cold, echoey atmospheres, harsh keyboard discharges, and steely, mechanized doom filled percussion, this is varied and frantic, flowing from ambience to hammering rhythms with an ingenious ease. Completely new (thank God, because the original was terrible), fresh and haunting artwork.. $14.50

Stratvm Terror - This is My Own Hell (Existest: EEXI)

Welcoming the return of Peter Andersson(Raison D'etre, Necrophorous) and Tobias Larsson (Ocean chief), ExistenceEstablishment and Reverse Alignment present "This is My Own Hell"with over an hour's worth of the darkest, bleakest industrialsoundscapes these artists have delivered. Strops - Strops (Raubbau: Raub003)

A lonely atmosphere… a forest on a misty autumn day… constructed by heavy drones, pulsating beat-like structures and lyrics in aunfamiliar sounding language… Strops are taking us out of the comfort and warmth of our hiding place called life, guiding us on adark and also mysterious journey like they did last year on 'Likuma Burts'.The breath of wrecked machines seeps through the album, transported by amphoric sounds created through heavy manipulation of the sound of steel drums. The artwork reflects the music perfectly: arranged hexagonal nuts on a rusty background, referring to a beehive (being thetranslation of strops into english) as well as the origin of the sounds. Clear repetitive structures versus threatening drones andtangible metal sounds; gained out of rusty steel. As simple as the structure of a beehive is, as complex is the formation of what is transported to the listeners mind. every friend ofnon-easy listening and frowning sound-scapes will be fascinated by this new release on Raubbau.. $8.00

Sturmpercht - Geister im Waldgebirg (Percht: Percht07)

One year has passed since the Austrian / South Bavarian Alpin-Folk formation Sturmpercht released their last 7". Finally now here is their long awaited new album! "Geister im Waldgebirg" is a journey through the deepest central-European forests and mountains with all their strange creatures, fairies, myths and legends. The sounds and lyrics on this album are engrained in old pagan rites and cults, in hunters-legends and in tales from darkest woods and the people living there. The songstyles vary from powerful Martial-Folk hymns, over fragile Folk-ballads, to weird songs about strange people and creepy animals. Several great artists supported Sturmpercht in the making of this album: first af all Axel from Werkraum, who is a basic Sturmpercht-member since quite a while now. It's Axels perfect guitar- and flute playing and his skillful hands in mixing, that the Folk-songs have this brilliant late 60ies/early 70ies touch now. The close Sturmpercht-friends Allerseelen, Sangre Cavallum and Waldteufel have also recorded fantastic songs especially for this album. Allerseelen and Sangre Cavallum also contributed several sounds from their large archives and Waldteufel additionally gave his voice for "Riesenbrüder".Sturmpercht is the only Folk-band, who created their own music style named "Alpin-Folk", which is absolutely unique up to now. Anyway if you prefer straight or weird Folk: there is no way around this album for all kinds of Folk-Lovers. This album will be your closest friend in dark and frosty winter nights! Beautiful digipak. $12.99

Sturmpercht - Schattenlieder (Percht: Percht12)

Three years have passed since Sturmpercht released their cult-album „"Geister im Waldgebirg"“. now the masters of ALPINE FOLK are back with their new album "„Schattenlieder - eine kleine Nachtmusik für Waldteufel und Berggeister“. The album features 20 diverse and unique songs full of alpine mystic, heathen legends and tales about strange fairies and pagan rites. The lyrics deal with alpine myths, forest tales and hunter sagas. “Schattenlieder” is the perfect "soundtrack" for misty autumn evenings as well as for dark winter nights. The album features a large variety of instruments and sounds: obscure, strange, folky, psychedelic, but always original and weird, in Sturmpercht's very unique way. “Schattenlieder” is a completely unpredictable album - each track is a "standalone", but contributes to the overall ambience of this alpine folk masterpiece and in the end the album creates a round, whole atmosphere. With almost 80 minutes of scary/dreamy folk songs, the album definitely sets a new benchmark within the Alpine Folk genre. $14.99

Sub Luna - Awake! (Cyclic Law: 1stEclipse)

Sub Luna is a Swedish duo formed by Mikael Lindblom (also a live collaborator for Karjalan Sissit) and Fredrik Sooberg. After four years of silence they return with their new album Awake! Their sound has definitely been refined and expands the framework established with their previous album, the double CD “"In The Shade of time". On this second album Sub Luna are merging the more traditional elements of the dark folk genre with influences from the world of pop and rock and thus avoid falling into trappings of the genre. Awake! Also symbolically marks the ending of one era and the beginning of another. These are songs of love and hate, nostalgia and progression, magic and loss... songs of protest from the age of nihilism. Suicide Inside - Learn to Swallow (Pflicht: Pflicht029)
The follow up to Suicide Inside's debut ( also on Pflichtkauf ), is a perfect continuation of its mental aesthetic. And again, this is an unusual and aggressive mixture of pounding rhythmic noise, broken beats and painful, dark melodics. This time Suicide Inside brings more ambient synths, explosive rhythms and sharp vocals than ever before. Massive fat beats, slightly faster than on the debut, powerful bass-lines and psychedelic melodic structures ! Additionally "Learn To Swallow" includes two Brand new tracks / remixes from Flint Glass and Empusae. $8.99

Survival Unit - Free Speech Series 3inch”CD (L-White: LW027/2)
I'll just state the obvious right off the bat…this kicks ass. One 17 minute track of heavy, burrowing drones, grinding, mechanized loops and processed vocals. Builds to a highly intense, penetrating climax. Old school, unsettling, and just plain killer. For fans of the slower style p.e. a la Anenzephalia, Ex.Order, etc Part II of the free Speech Series, packaged under glass!. $12.99

Survival Unit - Murder for the Mission (Autarkeia: ACD034)

Although the cult album Fentanyl Martyrs signified the death of Survival Unit , they remain toxic even while buried. Murder for the Mission represents volume 1 of old and very rare, almost unobtainable retrospective recordings of this Swedish cult project. It includes both released and unreleased tracks from several sessions: Vemod label's tape Murder For The Mission, a concert in Paris and the CDR Utan Fana released as a very limited edition. Extremely aggressive psycho-powerelectronics full of hatred and insane samples, with intrinsicly frantic and maniacal energy.. $14.50

Survival Unit - Thought Trigger Target (Autarkeia: ACD040)

Here is one more masterpiece of Swedish cultural terrorism supplemented with new material and re-released in the golden collection of cultural terrorism series. A rather nice companion to Will to Zero, in that it's a generally more atmospheric and gloomy release. Relatively speaking that is. f Still, plenty of subversive sounds delivered here and plenty of aural violence to satisfy all.. $14.50

Survival Unit - Tied Down for Survival (Autarkeia: ACD038)

At the times of global crisis, the zombies of cultural terrorism strike again with the fire of new toxic power. Tied Down For Survival is a old/new blow from the Scandinavian cult project Survival Unit to the rotten cancer of Western civilisation and the second collection of rarities in the golden collection of cultural terrorism series. This is an exceptionally suggestive, psychedelic power electronics with deeply terrorising implications. Here you will listen to unreleased live records, passages from limited edition Utan Fana and the controversial conspiracy theory of Rolf-Peter Andersson, where the Swedish monarch family, Indira Gandhi and Mikhail Gorbachev practice cannibalism. Outstanding...maybe even more so than usual.. $14.33

Survival Unit - Will to Zero (Autarkeia: ACD039)

Will To Zero is the third part in Survival Unit's golden collection of cultural terrorism series, actually meant for crippling as many people as possible with little hope for recovery. A particularly aggressive and deranged outing even by SU standards, with a more straightforward sound built around writhing pulsations, power drones, grimey noise, samples, and red blooded intensity. Fucking great. In 6 panel embossed digipak with yet more amazing collaged artwork. Sorry, these are creeping up in price as the dollar gets weaker.. $14.50

Svaixt - Virsme Versme (Autarkeia: ACD022)

Meditative and transcendent sounds from copper percussion. 4 long tracks of resonant drones and ritual sounds capes that gently change and evolve over an extended period of time.. $6.66

Svalbard - Heimkunft (Lichterklang: LK001)

Combining the military precision of Strength Through Joy with the melodic edge of Leger des Heils, Svalbard reveals a new image of Military Pop: straight forward with powerful martial drums and a hymn-like character. A new Derniere Volonte, perhaps?. $14.66

Svarrogh - Temple of the Sun mCD (Ahnstern: Ahnstern27)

Welcome to Svarrogh's "Temple of the sun", a collaborative mini-album with Allerseelen and Sangre Cavallum. "Temple of the Sun" is a decadent and transcendental journey with mandoline, tamboura, mighty synths, Bulgarian folklore, deep balcan voices and European ambience as well as blizzard guitars and several elements from the black metal past of Svarrogh. This mini album is a macrocosmic European theme - although still mainly Bulgarian and Balcan - a gathering of pagan culture with fragments from the modern world. Wine and honey will flow through grey streets, through cities of glass, weeping giants cry out in sorrow - welcome to Svarrogh's temple of decadence!. $12.35

Svarrogh/Defiles des Ames/Arnica - South European Folk Compendium (Ahnstern: Ahnstern37)

This triple-split CD is a unique compendium of South European folk music, inspired by Balkan, Catalan and Hellenic traditional culture. The sources and the stylistic devices of the three artists are quite different and descending from three different cultural regions, but there is just one intention and one deep mythological spirit, that unites the musicians to build up an axis through the mediterranean sunlit landscapes. On this album you will drown into the ritual, Alpine-Folk shamanism of Árnica, using a wide range of traditional instruments and the spirit of Catalunya - Svarrogh drags you to the deep and dark forests of Bulgaria by slavic chants, where you will meet the god Veles in his wooden shrine – and you will waft through a droning and apocalyptic haze to the powerful and emotional hellenic spheres of Défilé des Ames from Greece. - 10 songs / 60 min.. $14.99

Svartsinn - Elegies for the End 2CD (Cyclic Law: 26thCycle)

The 4th by Norwegian dark ambient act, Svartsinn, shows a more melodic yet rather obscure side of the artist. 2009 is the 10th year of Svartsinn's existence and it has inspired Pettersen to try a different approach and to experiment with some new ideas. This new musical journey deals with sadness and melancholy, about not knowing one's place in this vast and at times uninviting world, how it can become a daily torment to not be able to find one's reason to exist. And it's also about finding one's personal path, finding ways to endure and hopefully transcend these engulfing life challenges. The Double CD includes a unique collaboration track with Dahlia's Tear and a 10 years anniversary bonus disc containing exclusive remixes by Triarii, Kammarheit, Letum, Life Toward Twilight, Gustaf Hildebrand, Tenebrious, New Risen Throne, MGriffin, Visions and Hovmod. All acts giving very interesting perspectives on some of Svartsinn's previously released tracks, making this second disc a very special homage to the singular world of Svartsinn.Edition of 1000 copies in 8 panel foldout cardboard sleeve.. $12.88
