Hall of Mirrors - Forgotten Realm (Silentes: SME0927)

Second “chapter” in the “Hall of Mirrors” saga, a project that hides the fervid minds of Giuseppe Verticchio/Nimh and Andrea Marutti/Amon. On this release they’re supported by Andrea Freschi (Subinterior, Konau…) and Andrea Ferraris (Ur, Sil Muir…), who gave their contribute with additional sound sources. Another long and fascinating journey among the ruins of lost and ancient civilizations, among desolate landscapes forgotten by time… To enrich the already busy electronic stratifications, among slowly evolving ambient sonorities and occasional parts of more sharp and “rough” elements of a Post-Industrial nature, we also find suggestive sound of reverberating flutes and dilated electric guitar parts, ending with delicate melodic arpeggios and evocative rhythmic accents of a vague cinematic taste.. $13.66

Halo Manash - Am Kha Astrie (Aural Hypnox: AH10)

Finally back in stock! Am Kha Astrie", a work of heliotropic, elemental ambient, is an opening, an awakening, a summoning, a crossing of thresholds. After their previous oneiric and minimal album, "Am Kha Astrie" sees Halo Manash re-integrate a more diverse instrumentation and a multiplicity of soundsources to create their work, which consists of seven interrelated tracks. Archaic elemental drums, bones and spiraling animal horns merge with various metal percussions, chimes, wind-instruments, voices and a multitude of other instruments to create a deep, earthly and yet celestially-bound opus. "Am Kha Astrie" is a massive and sometimes ominous work, a primal experience of coming-into-being, with all the terror, ecstasy and divine awe that it implies. Hand finished cruciform folder. Ltd x 1000. On a more editorial note, this is off the charts good!!! A real must.. $13.77

Hati vs Zev - #1 (Ars Benevola Mater: ABM21)

This has actually been out for some time and I don't know how I missed it. Excellent and unique collaborative effort between industrial legend and pioneer Z'ev and Polish project Hati, who use ethnic instruments (Asian gongs, North African drums and clarinets, Polish wooden trumpets and horns) and hand-made instruments or found objects of scrap metal, plastic, and wood. The result is 8 extended tracks full of resonant drones, shimmering timbres (shiver me timbers??), and ritual nuances. More ambient than I (or you) might expect, but that's not necessarily a bad thinga long range of mystical drones. Highly recommended to true experimental magick-percussive industrial music-lovers! Ltd x 950 copies in out-sized package with 2 postcards.. $12.99

Heid - Pilgrim of the Sublunary World (Cold Meat Industry: CMI115)

When parts (the first part) of this was first released as a limited CD-R on Bastet, the comment many made was that it really belonged on CMI. Well, now it is! Musically, if you're fond of the early Megaptera, Archon Satani, and Raison D'Etre material this falls right in line. Music from the catacombs with echoed funereal clangs, solemn netherworld drones and keyboard passages, and a pervasive sense of dread and doom.. $13.33

Henrik Nordvargr Bjorkk & Beyond Sensory Experience vs. Kenji Siratori - Hypergenome666 2CD (Old Europa Café: OECD088R)

Re-stock! You can’t have a conversation about this release without talking about the packaging first and foremost; an 80 page book by non-linear cyberpunk author Kenji Siratori, in ultra deluxe sleeve designed by Paul McCarroll, whose work can be viewed at www.unhinged.me.uk , among other places. Words can’t do it justice. On top of that, you can a 2 full length Cds, one by Nordvargr, the other by Beyond Sensory Experience. Shit, the fact that you get music is almost a bonus! Didn’t listen to it all before I threw it online, but the Nordvargr stuff was customary, high quality, ultra black stuff from the deepest depths of the Villa Bohult cellar.Evil stuff. I believe it’s Kenji’s voice that permeates throughout the recordings, adding an even more sinister, diabolical edge.. $27.50

Herbst9 - From a Dark Chasm Below (LOKI: LOKI21)

Re-issue of the astounding debut from Herbst9. Complex, textural and pitch black ambience (not unlike label mates Inade), but with a completely different focus, born in the destitute fringes of Asia, or possibly in the moist jungles, where the residue of insidious rituals and mysterious spirituality still exist. One of the true classic dark ambient records of the last 10 years. $15.33

Hermann Kopp - Under a Demons Mask (Galakthorro: Galakt021)

Everybody who has seen the Buttgereit films Nekromantik 1+2 and Todesking, has heard of Hermann Kopp. The music he wrote and performed for them is ever-present, pervading the atmosphere and contributing considerably to the advancement of these films into classics. He still retains to this day his exceptional musical ability, and proves it yet again. Galakthorrö is proud to be able to present 13 new songs from the nekrodramatist: more than 40 minutes of new material, which today – just as it did then – has as its core his dissonantly tempered and individualistic violin playing. Combined with electronics, a host of weird instruments and metal percussion he creates an unequalled gruesome opus, carried by an effectively conceived minimalism, and the most beautiful and haunting Angst melodies imaginable. So morbid and wonderful in fact, that we have to ask ourselves how we could manage to survive for so long without any new material from Hermann Kopp – and which demons were riding him that he had to keep us waiting so long. :: CD in matt finish digipac,. $18.50

H.E.R.R. - Fire and Glass: A Norwood Tragedy mCD (Cold Spring: CSR74EP)

New four-track EP from the Anglo-Dutch masters of Neoclassical music relates to the incredible story of the Crystal Palace, an architectural jewel in the heart of Victorian London and itself a tragic metaphor for the rise and fall of the British Empire. Welcome to the Pleasuredome. $9.50

H.E.R.R. - XII Caesars (Cold Spring: CSR117)

H.E.R.R.'s 4th album was originally inspired by the book "De Vita Caesarum" by Gaius Suetonius Tranquillus from 121 AD, during the reign of the emperor Hadrian. It is one of the greatest sources of much of what we know about the first twelve Caesars after the fall of the Republic. "Although we felt small when looking up to such giants, we took up this book and started on this odyssey that was to end in the first tragi-comic Neoclassical operetta about The Twelve Caesars". Let the light of heart rule in this more "song-based" album. Comes with an elegant 16-page booklet. $12.99

Herz Juhning - Miasma (Galakthorro: Galakt024)

After Herz Juhning has whetted the appetite of so many listeners with his Faces EP, Galakthorro now is proud to be able to present Herz Juhning's first Longplayer. On Miasma he combines the kinetic energy of Power-Electronics with favourite ingredients from the witches'cauldron of Angst Pop. You will hear brutal bass-drones, nasty electrified currents, pumping analog rhythms and eerie frequency modulations. The sound elements have been ruthlessly selected to emphasise the reductive characteristics, and brought together around the incisive vocals to form an homogenous and complete work of art. Whether ailing popsongs, aggressive noise-attacks, or ominous sound experiments, all is artfully united in the 13 songs found on Miasma. Once more it is Juhning's no-frills arranging technique, that shows itself to be so highly effective on Miasma, just as it made Faces so successful. There is much to discover and Miasma will take the hearts of its listeners by storm! How could it not?Dare I say, this is almost as good (maybe as good) as Haus Arafna and November Novelet. Incredible.. $16.66

Hikikimori - A Story of Monstrosity CDr (Steelwork Maschine: SKM-07)

Hikikimori's first CD was pretty well received 'round here, and the second full length release is another solid offering.Hikikomori this time settles on a nightmarish soundtrack of the cult movie 'Freaks' by Tod Browning with 4 lengthy tracks of claustrophic atmospheres and drifting drones, puncuated (somewhat unecessarily so) by samples from the movie.. $10.00

Horologium - A Handful of Dust and Ashes (Zoharum: Zohar013)

A collection of tracks recorded during various occasions, but united here by a peculiar sediment of dust and rust; it's a journey back in time to the limited and sold out "A Handful of Dust" and "Opium" releases, complete with bonus material. Esoteric and surreal soundscapes, mixing cut-ups of loops, dark orchestrations, whimsical interludes, samples, and foreign noises.. $13.00

Horologium - Earthbound (Old Europa Café: OECD107)

3rd full-length album from Horologium, who offer 43 minutes of monumental, fierce, yet listenable music. Strong and dramatic neo-classical aided by vocals from Trou Southgate (H.E.R.R.), Maria Soutgate, Merissa D'Arlette, and Eustacia Vye. Some of the lyrics include fragments from H.Hesse, F. Nietzsche and O. Spengler. 'Earthbound' may also be perceived as an antidote to a slowly emerging neo-christian scene within the postindustrial/martial paradigm. Horologium scorn fanatics.Artwork designed by K.Meizter for a luxurious digipack release with additional booklet !. $15.50

Horologium - Le Paradis des Chasseurs (Twilight Recordings: TW1.47)

Re-issue of material from "Songs For Hunters” and "Paradise Inverted” – two mini albums that embody Horologium’s most bombastic recordings to date. Both 3 inch CDr releases were out in a strictly limited amounts (100 and 150 copies respectively). Rousing orchestrations, apocalyptic choral sections, and strong martial sounds.. $14.33

Horologium - Paradise Inverted 3inch CD (Old Europa Café: OECDR017)
A short but impressive tribute to mankind's emancipation and strife for liberty. Martial Industrial and classical music mixed with vocal contributions from Troy Southgate and Maria Southgate (H.E.R.R.). Rousing and cinematically dramatic, and maybe the best I've heard from this project. Lim. 150 copies.. $10.99

Horologium & K. Meitzer - Eight Studies in Transition (Old Europa Café: OECD095)
On "Eight Studies in Transition" the Polish industrial nostalgic Horologium and the Swedish sound scientist K. Meizter (Beyond Sensory Experience) examine humanity's impossible fight against time. From birth to death, from playfulness to bitterness, from serenity to mental awe, this tale is transposed into music ranging from calm dark ambient to orchestral delirium, making it a fascinating exploration that will appeal to most industrial and dark ambient tastes. Presented in a special recycled 6-panel digifile with inserts. Regular edition. $15.50

Hrissharsgrani/Dead Man's Hill - Dead:Meat (Steinklang Distro: SKD26)

-ways split album - a great mix between Martial / Industrial / Ambient / Electronic and more. five new HROSSHARSGRANI anthems featuring vocals by Bart Piette from D.M.H. and Pr. Sergiy from MOLOCH, as well as five new monumental epics from the master of Dark Ambient, Dead Man's Hill - this time a lot more intense and song-oriented than on earlier releases. "Dead:Meat" is the so far most mature and complex album of both artists. composition, interpretation and design feel like a smack in the face and leave no room for compromise! morbidity meets iron avant-garde, romanticism encounters the frozen coldness of metal! when will people finally realize: if you want to feel you MUST listen! 10 songs / 64 min.. $14.33

Human Larvae - Home is Where the Hurt Is (Existest: EEVIII)

From the titles ("I Do This Because I Love You", "To Hide in Her Uterus & Hopefully Suffocate in Absolute Tranquility" etc) to the sounds, there's some definite Navicon worship going on here. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing. After all, if I made music (and I still might, so watch out), I'd probably take my cue from Lee as well. Good thick, dark apocalyptic sounds here... an emotional torrent of self-destructive force with styles that range from rhythmic orchestral industrial to bleak passages of black noise with a good dosage of throbbing feedback and scathing vocals. There is some sick twisted narrative to be found here but the search for these mysterious happenings will bring you to places you may never return from.. $10.00

Hydra Head 9 - Kod (Old Europa Café: OECD051)
Second CD from this Nordvargr project. To some degree, closer in style to Folkstorm, although more chaotic and abrasive, with lots of wet frequencies, lurching loops, distortion, and white noise. Has some harsh, cut up elements as well.. $14.50

Hyios - Consuetudines (Malignant: TumorCD40)

The alluring debut from Leipzig Germany’s Hyios, Consuetudines offers 7 lengthy compositions of cold ritual drones, arching trajectories, and visceral descents into subterranean caverns, where rich, kinetic textures and deep resonant tones move and morph in a fluid, serpentine fashion, sprinkled with the debris of an ancient culture and something more otherworldly and primordial. Leipzig has historically proven to be fertile ground for dark ambient and Consuetudines continues in the fine tradition set forth by such notable acts as Inade and Herbst9. In 6 panel digipak, mastered by Secret Lab. A great new discovery. One week "Facebook Special" for the week of May 25th, down to just $7.00!. $7.00
