Dannagoisch - Emm Dichda Ondrholz (Percht: Percht013)

Dannagoischd - the ghost of the dark forest - is a project coming directly out of the deep Alpine and Swabian woods. ”Emm dichda Ondrholz” (in the dense brush-wood) features 16 tracks of ALPINE FOREST FOLK, telling tales in ancient Swabian language about creatures living in darkest woods, with all their legends, atmospheres and myths. The album carries a vast variety of instruments and styles and also includes two video-clips. The atmosphere spreads between melancholy, tradition and pure forest life. Dreamy songs are mixed with dark and natural (sound)tracks, as well as with more folky tunes. ”Emm dichda Ondrholz” is a perfect trip to the misty fir tree forests. Feel the rustling of the trees, the burning of fires, the ghosts and creatures around you… Meet wild animals, feel the aura of the woods and sink into a unique forest atmosphere. All lyrics of the album are written in deep Swabian dialect. The album was mastered by Axel Frank (Werkraum / Sturmpercht) at Blue Lounge Studios / Berlin. Dannagoischd is a project of Waldwuudz, alias cz of Vinterriket / Atomtrakt / Nebelkorona / Sturmpercht / Battle Dagorath.... $14.99

Dawn & Dusk Entwined - Septentrion (Cold Meat Industry: CMI178)

A strong CMI debut for this revered French project. Heavily atmospheric and dynamic soundscapes, mixing cinematic dark ambience with forceful, at times martial, rhythms, neo-folk nuances and strong orchestrations. Really well done and completely devoid of cliches. I'm very impressed by this CD.. $13.99

Dead Man's Hill - Dog Burial (Old Europa Café: OECD092)

7th full length album for Dead Man’s Hill ! Far more violent and darker atmosphere than ever before. This entire album handles about the loss of nature, all the people who destroy it, knowing and unknowing what they’re doing. Further it handles also about nature making conspiracies with the Loa’s to let mankind disappear from the earth. The music sounds like a storm wiping away everything in the neighbourhood. Extremely dark classical death industrial with choirs, the voice of the Apocalypse telling people in their dreams how it all will evolve, magical and Black Metal atmospheres ... For all lovers of "In Slaughter Natives" ! Art-work presenting a series of magnificent Caravaggio paintings !. $14.33

Deadwood - Ramblack (Cold Spring: CSR104CD)

Ramblack" is the follow up to Deadwood's successful 2005 album "8 19" (CSR53CD). Over the past 3 years this Swedish artist has been toiling away, creating a new black ambient / death noise masterpiece and "Ramblack" is the result. Cloaked in a more raw and morbid sound then its predecessor, this album truly changes ones perspective of audial darkness. This analogue beast of an album layers the tonal prayers of demons and the distorted cries of angels, sickness and depravity. True Death Electronics. The soundtrack to your end. "Ramblack" features guest vocals from Norwegian Black Metal legend Maniac (Skitliv, ex-Mayhem), who’s vocal approach on the song 'Forakt' shows the full range of his capacity. Truly one of the most sick and twisted pieces of sonic art ever recorded.. $11.75

Deaf Machine - Transistor (Raubbau: Raub007)

German label Raubbau have decided that the time is ripe to end the nearly two decades of severe under-exposure for Deaf Machine, the Megaptera offshoot conceived by Mikeal Svensson. Up until this year, the majority of listeners to industrial music were not even aware of the name Deaf Machine, whose sound, while operating within the confines of death industrial, clearly lacks antecedence in its more oppressive, minimal approach; a rhythm-less universe inhabited by the creaking noises of analogue devices and metallic artefacts, and fleeting voices leaking through from media broadcasts. Svensson may have been a minor player in the scene, but his precious few moments of brilliance are now finally captured for posterity. What more semi-forgotten corpses from the heyday of Swedish death industrial are waiting to be unburied?. $14.99

Available separately for the first time are the six bonus songs from “The World That Summer”, re-recorded in 1989 and 2006. Death Pact International - Siege (Old Europa Café: OECD108)

Recorded and assembled between 1999 and 2009, “Siege” is the audio-documentation of the activities of the cultural terrorist, multiple name entity known since the 80’s as Death Pact International, a monicker worn as a balaklava by several notorious noisemongers to undermine certanties and spread chaos through heavy electronics tracks, slogans and art-war.For this occasion sounds and words were collected by members of Thee Grey Wolves, Wertham, Con-Dom with the help of other anonymous collaborators.Power electronics / old school industrial not too dissimilar from compositions of the afore mentioned projects mixing for this occasion studio tracks along with semi-live tracks reworked in studio empowered by further sampling and multiple vocal aggression.Mastered at the Quadraro basement (Truceklan, Metal Carter, Noyz Narcos, Wertham, etc.)it was well worth the wait of so many years. Luxurious packaging, rich art-work and lenty to read !The CD comes in de-lux digi-box including 10 inserts printed on high quality heavy paper.. $15.33

Decimation Blvd - Put Your Hand in Fire 3 (Public Guilt: PGL004)

The debut solo outing for Tradd Sanderson (famed "Noise Choker" for Cream Abdul Babar) is a six track "Fuck You" of acrid electronics, throbbing drones, gunshot rhythms, and eerie soundscapes. Drawing from influences as diverse as Skinny Puppy, The Melvins, and late-70's horror films, DB concocts a new recipe all its own. The resulting cacophony is uneasy listening at its finest: sonically overdriven, surprisingly nuanced, and entirely captivating. And this guy is so much prettier than you, so you may as well just shoot yourself in the face. The score... Decimation Blvd: 1, You: zilch. This limited release for Public Guilt is a one time pressing of 100 copies. Packaging is a 2 color silkscreen, 3 panel trifold and each disc includes a 2.5" square DB sticker. $3.00

Deepspace - The Glittering Domain CDr (Hypnos: HSS25)

Deepspace is a pseudonym for Mirko Ruckels, a German-born ambient/electronic musician who now resides in Brisbane, Australia. His previous releases have been self-released, and The Glittering Domain is his debut on Hypnos Secret Sounds. Abstract and definitely "ambient" in nature, The Glittering Domain simultaneously exhibits a strong musical sensibility, with a sound and structure reminiscent of artists such as Vidna Obmana and Numina. Though Hypnos may be best known for unstructured "drone" style recordings, we really enjoy a recording like this one that has more of a tonal basis.. $11.33

Def - C (Spectre/Nautilus: NA07)
Def debuts with 'C', six tracks full of multidimensional soundscapes and subtle rhythms incorporating noises, thumps, weird voices and surging interventions over a of stereophonic bed of pulsating, oscillating drones. Organic and alive with activity, this is a release quite capable of fucking with your head on a whole lot of levels. Comes in an exquisitely designed oversized Nautilus pack... $7.00

Defile des Ames - Lust 'n' Stone (Ahnstern: Ahnstern32)

The swirling sense of lust meets the hardness of stone. The music of Défilé Des Ames is a blend of contrary elements: Violence & lyricism, atmosphere & rage, murder, purity, winds & mushrooms… Their traditional and classical instruments are accompanied by powerful percussions and the participation of the great Matt Howden (Sieben) gives a uncompareable accent to the album. "Lust 'n' Stone" is a brilliant, dark Avant-Garde Folk album and after many years of live appearances and independent releases, here is finally the debut album of the Mediterranean Folk-gods Défilé Des Ames.. $11.99

Denis Frajerman & Antoine Volodine - Vociferations, Cantopera CD (Le Clurican: CL010)

From the fine folks at Le Cluricaun (aka Gae Bolg): Denis Frajerman is a member of the French cult band Palo Alto and has released several successful and great albums under his own name (like the fantastic Suite Volodine and Maccau Peplum).Antoine Volodine is the well known French "post-exotic" science fiction writer which has received many prices and elogious reviews in both mainstream and underground audience. He's released recently his 15th's book Songes de Mevlido.Vociférations pretend to be an opera, but a new form of post-exotic opera, an opera without real singers, built around different scenes, and on which music and the writer's voice are strongly linked. This new collaboration between Antoine Volodine and Denis Frajerman is a musical transposition of a paranoid world in which politic, totalitarism and psychiatric are confronted to a dark, troubled, sensual and shamanic richly orchestrated music (many musicians which are playing strings, percussions, sax, keyboards…).If you like the early Palo Alto's albums, the experimental side of Tuxedomoon, and most generally original "new music", this album is without any doubt for you!Vociférations is a command and is supported by the French national radio France Culture.. $5.00

Dense Vision Shrine - Time Lost in Oblivion CD/DVD (First Fallen Star: FFS001)

Having created music for many years under such project names as Arcane Art, Penitent, and Defraktor, Karsten Hamre returns in 2009 with the simultaneous release of "Through the Eyes of a Stranger" and Dense Vision Shrine\\\'s "Time Lost in Oblivion" - both on First Fallen Star! Although it mysteriously shares a similar title and artwork with "Lost Time in Oblivion" (2007, Desolate Sonorities), "Time Lost in Oblivion" is a completely new album with no known connection to the 2007 release. Building upon a solid foundation of dark ambient, Dense Vision Shrine also employs sampled sounds and sparse rhythm to carefully design the listening experience of a realm where time itself has stopped, of a blackened voyage into oblivion. Each track of the album is distinctive, yet always possessing the signature of Dense Vision Shrine and proving unmistakably bleak. Even a seemingly benign track title like "The Girl Next Door" is in fact found to be quite ominous and devoid of any hope! "Time Lost in Oblivion" is presented in a DVD case with professionally pressed CD and professionally printed artwork, limited to 1,000 copies. The first 500 copies are presented in a 2 disc DVD case with a professionally pressed bonus DVD (PAL format), also titled "Time Lost in Oblivion," that takes the viewer on a visual journey of imagery used for live performances. $12.99

Der Blaue Reiter - La Paradise Funebre...L'Envers Du Tristesse (Caustic Records: CRR014)

New project of Sathorys Elenorth (Narsilion, Lugburz, Ordo Funebris) inspired by warlike ambiences impregnated with an apocalyptic martiality, where powerful percussions and majestic neoclassic passages are the protagonists of this new work, more than an hour of melancholic music replete of feelings and deep pain … Feel how the crying of a cold war, legacy of the past, stir itself in the tops of destruction of our last days, where the dreams are just a legend and the death is a dark reality … Industrial dark ambient for fans of Predella Avant, Sophia, Raison d'êtré, Triarii and Les joyaux de la princesse…. $7.66

Der Blutharsch - Everything is Alright! (WKN: WKN32)

Not unlike the "Fire Danger Season" boxset from a few years back, "Everything is Alright!" is a compilation of rare tracks and remixes recorded 2oo2 - 2oo8 and released on various highly limited releases.. $15.33

Der Blutharsch - Flying High! (WKN: WKN34)

Flying High!” with this psychedelic combat cry, one of the most eccentric and innovative projects from Austria returns. On their ninth studio album, Der Blutharsch continues travelling in the direction they took back in 2005, when the former guru of martial industrial/military pop, Albin Julius, and his band, rocketed towards the deep space of psychedelia. One of the most controversial bands of the last decade staked its claim anew, totally breaking with old images, clichés and tunes. Having already started on the last album “The Philosopher’s Stone,” the walls of guitars and repetitive chants are recognizable. Flying High! transforms this into a programmatic climax. If you start thinking Sunn O))), Guru Guru, Amon Dül, Tangerine Dream or Godspeed You! Black Emperor you are not to far away, but most of the apocalyptic feeling which you are already used to is still inherent. Highly influenced by the American west coast sound of the late sixties with small doses of that which some people used to call Krautrock. The tracks develop into each other, ambient parts followed by ecstatic deathrock songs and then they glide into a wall of sound. The guest parts on the vocal side are full of well known artists: besides Bain Wolfkind and Albin Julius or Gianni Serusi, you discover 1980s legend Patrick Leagas who celebrates the title song in his typical distinctive manner. Flying High! is a dark record, it mixes eros and deathwish, productivity with destructivity. Since the release of “When Did Wonderland End?,” Der Blutharsch have mutated into a psychedelic rock monster; their motto, “into new territories!;” their symbol for this mutation, a battle fought not by marching but by flying, “Flying High!” Flying High! is a weird trip for blown minds through the dark worlds of today’s society, passing love, hate and lust during its journey into the center of the sun! The CD comes in a stunning foil blocked digipak, painted with glow-in-the-dark ink, covered in a neatly-designed folder.. $17.99

Der Blutharsch - Live in Copenhagen (WKN: WKN28)
As is usual with the ever-enigmatic Der Blutharsch, their latest release comes clouded in their customary shroud of impenatrable secrecy. Peering behind the curtain of what we know : this Brand New "Live In Copenhagen" album comes with a completely different tracklisting ( and possibly better sound quality ) of songs to 2005's equally clandestine "Live At The Monastery".. $9.00

Der Blutharsch - Live in Leiden (WKN: WKN37)

Live in Leiden by Der Blutharsch is the 3rd album in a series of live recordings - after "Live at The Monastery" and "Live in Copenhagen". Live in Leiden was recorded at "The Night of Confusion" held September 28th 2oo4 at the legendary venue LVC and was the "most controversial" concert in the 40 years history of the club. Nevertheless, the night was a huge success, as this recording bears out. At the same time it is the last live recording of the "old" Blutharsch - a small reminder about what Der Blutharsch was infamous for before they morphed into "era two" and turned into a dark psychedelic kraut monster. This is a great live document of a concert of the the band who invented "martial industrial" as well as "military pop" - a MUST of all die hard fans of this genre as well as for people who want to know why this band once has been considered "dangerous". The CD comes in a foilblocked digipak.. $16.50

Der Blutharsch - Time is Thee Enemy (WKN: WKN20)
Martial industrial, neo-classical and solemn folklore songs…in typical Blutharsch fashion, though maybe a bit more song/folk oriented than in the past. With video clip.. $14.50

Der Blutharsch - When Did Wonderland End CD/DVD (WKN: WKN25)
Finally, the all new album strike by Albin Julius (vocals, drums, percussion, harp, harmonium, piano, synth and programming), Marthynna (vocals, percussion, drums, tambourine), Bain Wolfkind (vocals, guitar, snare drum), and Jörg B. (guitar, bass guitar), aided by Paola Andrea Riascos of Terroritmo (vocals), Christine K. of Graumahd (clarinet), Matt Howden of Sieben/Sol Invictus, (violin), Alessio B. of Varunna (cello), Didi Bruckmeyer of Fuckhead (vocals), and Douglas P. (lyrics) is on its way. With the deluxe foil-blocked package comes a limited DVD with a clip for the track: "So Bring Your Iron Rain Down Upon Me." Stylistically, a further development into a full on ’rock band” (albeit a neo-folk one) you’ve grown accustomed to over the past few years. In fact, there’s very little, if any, martial/ neo-classical elements even present here at all, for better of worse. Nonetheless, if you appreciate the past couple of releases, this is certain to please. Also available on LP. $18.99

Der Feuerkreiner - Unsere Zeit (Neuropa: NRP14)

Hailing from Italy, this remarkable duo has been working hard since their 2004 Neuropa release 'La 'Nvidia'. Finally, we have here the first full-length CD, 'Unsere Zeit'. The album consists of 9 newly recorded tracks overviewing the many facets of the band, mixing tranquil orchestrations and melodic arrangments with pulsating rhythms, aggressive, pounding percussion, and a heavenly female voice. If you liked their last output, you'll certainly like this. $13.99

Derniere Volonte - Immortel (Hau Ruck!: HR!96)

Immortel, Derniere Volonte`s 5th studio album took 4 years in making and marks their 15th anniversary! It is a huge development from the former style which redefined the therm "military pop" to a more homoguene, less neoclassic but much more modern in sounds, more electronic but organic at the same time - and reinvents a style Geoffroy D has been influenced since his early days. The themes on Immortel are effected by books, movies or personal experiences of Geoffroy but reflects in general his personal feelings about beloved people and their spirit which is and always will be present in our souls and memories. Immortel is another milestone in the oevre of one of France`s most interresting band from the underground scene and will for sure attract fans from the early days but a lot of new fans from other musical scenes.. $16.66

Derniere Volonte - Le Feu Sacre (Hau Ruck!: HR!11)
Re-issue of the debut CD. Dark, nostalgic sounds with minimalist military styled percussion, grey, brooding atmospheres, and French vocals (mostly spoken). Easy to find the roots here from LJDLP, to Der Blutharsch, to Blood Axis.. $15.33

Des Esseintes - Les Diaboliques (Malignant: TumorCD23)

If Magnus Sundstrom's more well known project The Protagonist is DrJekyll, then his side project, des Esseintes can certainly be seen as a MrHyde..a more sinister alter ego, bent on destructive behavior, representing a liberation of the dark side and a more primitive being, that once freed from the bonds of conscience, becomes harder and harder tocontrol. And thus, we have des Esseintes. Based on a collection of shortstories by Jean-Barbey d'Aurevilly, Les Diaboliques is the first fulllength album for des Esseintes, and it's truly a masterwork. The result is an existentialistic inferno of various musical trash and harshrhythms, with clanging, mechanized percussion barely cushioned by amenacing ambience of cinematically styled electronics igniting thebackground. These are dark regions explored on the six tracks here, populated by stomping behemoths that threaten to crush with every step, and shards of visceral, dynamic textures that slice across the proverbialsonic landscape. And while Magnus' work has certainly garneredrecognition, Les Diaboliques may just solidify him in the lexicon of theindustrial public, or take him to a whole new level. Greatly appealing tonot only fans of old school greats such as SPK and Test Dept, but to thosefans of CMI and even some Hands material.. $5.00

Des Esseintes - Mondo Macabro (Malignant: TumorCD27)

A classic example of whats old is new! With Mondo Macabro, we've conveniently compiled all of your favorite des Esseintes vinyl releases since 2000, remastered them, boosted them to eye popping levels, and if that weren't enough, added 3 bonus, unreleased tracks to top it off! 12 tracks in total, spanning the Muse (2000) and On/Off (2002) 7"s, the split LP with Magmax (2001), and the split 10"” (2001) with Negru Voda. A great history lesson in the short existence of des Esseintes, each track on each subsequent release just seems to up the ante, with one track more crushing than the next.. a steady, doom filled procession of post-apocalyptic, tribal percussion, deadening, jackhammer rhythms, and dramatic, suspense filled atmospheres. When Armageddon hits, rest assured, you'll have your soundtrack. Mandatory!! Despite some rather mediocre packaging and design, perhaps the most criminally underrated release in the history of Malignant.. $5.00

Desiderii Marginis - Deadbeat (Cold Meat Industry: CMI86)

Finally, after a several year absence, the 2nd CD from this great dark atmospheric project. A steady infusion of sturdy percussion, loops, dark swelling drones and flowing symphonic passages, that really fit snugly into the early, now recognizable, CMI sound. In fact, one can’t help but think of such classics as Morthound’s ‘ This Cyring Age’, Raison’s ‘Enthraled…’ or Deutsch Nepal’s ‘Deflagration of Hell’ when listening to this, and that my friends, is very much a good thing.. $14.66

Desiderii Marginis - Seven Sorrows (Cold Meat Industry: CMI173)

"Seven Sorrows" is the sixth album from the renowned Swedish Dark-Ambient project Desiderii Marginis, and a most eagerly awaited follow up to the highly acclaimed album of 2005, "That Which Is Tragic And Timeless". With the material on "Seven Sorrows" Johan Levin, the mind behind Desiderii Marginis, has dug deeper than ever before within creative depths and so ventures even further into the dark lands of dispair and solitude, deeper into the vibrant shadows of the human mind. Since the very debute in 1993, Desiderii Marginis has, with every new offering, refined and reinvented his trademark sound, and this release is no exception to the rule. Strummed guitars and dulcimers blend seamlessly with soaring strings, raging drones, the sound of twisted metal and spoken word. Diverse sources, yet tamed to an intriguing and alluring whole that slowly spin it’s web around the helpless listener and drags them into the vortex of dreamlike darkness.First limited Edition of 2000 copies comes presented in a 6 panel digipak with artwork photos taken by noted photographer Birthe Klementowski.. $14.33

Desiderii Marginis - The Ever Green Tree CD (Kaosthetik: KSTK005)

Re-stock! CD version of the out of print LP released awhile back. Wonderfully dark compositions, as haunting and ominous as the images that grace the cover. A great mixture of bleak atmospheres with some cosmic spaciness, flowing cinematic textures and industrial, factory ’noise’. Top notch all around. $13.66

Desiderii Marginis - Years Lend a Golden Charm (Eternal Pride: EPP016)

With "Years Lend A Golden Charm" we are invited to experience the very birth of what is now a well established project within the Dark Ambient Industrial scene. 73 minutes of material from the first three DM cassette releases from 1993 ("Consecrare", "Via Peregrinus", "Hortus Conclusus / Triptych"), plus one previously unreleased track. Highly sought after by collectors but only available in a mere dozen handmade copies, these songs are now finally made available to a greater audience. When you listen to the music with the knowledge that hindsight brings, it is obvious that these are the roots and the foundations, not only of the first full album "Songs Over Ruins", but of every subsequent release up to the latest, "Seven Sorrows". Russian import in a digipak.. $12.50

Detritus - Thresholds mCD (Adnoiseam: Adnoiseam65)
Coming out exactly a year after Detritus's second album, "Origin", the shorter “Thresholds” is both a perfect companion to its predecessor and a point of rupture. Writing "Origin" had been a very slow process for David Dando-Moore, aiming at offering a balanced and varied showcase of his music, while upping the ante as far as production and recording were concerned. “Thresholds”, on the other hand, was written over a much shorter time span in the Spring of 2006, and is more of a direct, compact and powerful statement. Not the nice boy with the strings anymore: a fruit of anger and frustration, Detritus's “Thresholds” appears as a considerably harder, more direct and more dense approach of Dando-Moore's intricate of drum'n'bass and strings. Terse and straight, the four tracks of “Thresholds” see Detritus bring more fervor to his sound, and balancing it with some of the most direct melodies he's ever written. Integrating more bass guitar into his music, and fusing it with short samples, Detritus proves here that he can combine his mostly melodic and down-tempo tracks with an acute sense of hard-hitting, dancefloor-friendly rhythms, and this all without renouncing on his renowned talent for crystal-clear production and recording skills. “Thresholds” is a CD that Detritus had to write before being able to move on to new grounds. A prolongation of the acclaimed full-length "Origin", it dots the i on this artist's skills, and anticipate Detritus's changes in the future.. $5.00

Deuterror - Le Gueule De Guerre (Steelwork Maschine: SMR006)

The first formal release for Deuterror following two downloadable albums. Dark, cinematically tinged atmospheres with plenty of sturm und drang courtesy of its militaristic overtones and periodic injections of artillery and mechanical clangour. Very visual and fairly impressive in its scope, even if it’is marred by intermittent ‘clips’ and glitches in the audio. Stylistically, these comes off as a cross between maybe Desiderii and Melek-Tha??? Features a notable cgi created short film as well as impressive graphics all around. $6.00

Deutsch Nepal - Erosion (Autarkeia: ACD035)

Finally a re-issue of this long out of print CD from 1999. Arguably one of Deutsch Nepal's more depressing works. At the time, Lina had the persistent feeling that this would be the very last Deutsch Nepal release, and that nothing would remain...perhaps only death. As such, this definitely has a downtrodden vibe...more minimalistic than most of what he'd recorded in the past, moving quietly through delusional, dark, and surreal Deutsch Nepal soundscapes with sombre vocals and hypnotic loops. I think it's important to listen to this one as a whole, as there's a definite cohesiveness to this release that's not immediately evident if you skip around.. $14.99

Deutsch Nepal - The Silent Container 4CD (Old Europa Café: OECD121)

Re-stock. Finally, the re-edition into digital format of the “Silent” tape trilogy out so many years ago on OEC and long since sold out . A great opporunity to hear the evolution of Deutsch Nepal in a long, accurate and complete work. Re-mastered in high quality CD standards by Peter Andersson (RAISON D’ETRE). This is the complete "Silence" saga with the new triple CD digipak (containing Only Silence Among the Filthy, The Silent Earth, and Behind A Wall of Silence) plus the old "The Silent Siege" single CD digipak, all coming inside a slip-box and including a set of 4 inserts. The re-edition of "The Silent Siege" album comes with a completely new label design similar to the "Silent Container" triple CD set. Across the board, some pretty classic, psychedelic industrial sounds in the true old school DN fashion. FYI, I did not order (on the recommendation of OEC) the edition without Silent Siege, since the price difference was fairly marginal.. $39.49

Deutsch Nepal - Tolerance (Autarkeia: ACD037)

Long overdue re-issue of the 1994 release from Deutsch Nepal, originally on Staalplaat. I think more than any other release, this one signified a change to the more minimalistic, psychedelic sounds DN has been known for the last decade or so.Exploratory and ghostly sounds, lashed together by a stable infrastructure of metered rhythms and hypnotizing loops. Mutating machine noises and spectral voices rise from the fathoms to add additional dimension and weightiness.. $14.33

Die Rote Form - Glass Breaks Concrete (L-White: LW047)

First proper full length CD from Die Rote Form (DRF). A wonderful mix of old school industrial, resonant junky and metallic soundscapes, deep machine noise, pitch shifting synthesizer lines, distortion, percussive elements, and alternating vocals from the two members. Structure meets non-structured in a nice, highly processed, multi-layered stew of sound. Even though DRF is not associated with any political party or believe, subjects of DRF mostly have a more social and left-wing point of view than usually found in the “typical PE scene”. For fans of Einleitungszeit I would think, though not as over the top. Lmtd 200. $13.99

Dies Natalis & Friends - The Phoenix Contradiction (Nielozilla: NZ048)

Four years after „The Bright And The Pure“, the last Dies Natalis release, the new album, „The Phoenix Contradiction“ is finally released! Twelve different musicans from Germany and Portugal worked from spring to autumn on this over one hour long album. Twenty songs with German, English and Portugese lyrics of traditional Folk mixed with Progressive Rock. A CD for long autumn-evenings, which contains a few danceable songs, too.. $13.00

Die Weisse Rose - A Martyrium of White Roses (Cold Meat Industry: CMI197)

It might seem strange that a band without a single release to its name has played concerts and festivals all over Europe. But anyone who has ever experienced Die Weisse Rose on stage knows why.More than concerts, Die Weisse Rose’s performances are elaborate rituals, caleidoscopic (or even psychedelic) experiences. Elements such as uniforms, burning torches, snippets of old schlägers, segments from documentary films and philosophical proclamations are wowen together by orgies of live drums and electronic sounds.Die Weisse strives towards what Wagner called ”Gesamtkunstwerke” – total works of art. When most other bands talk about Gesamtkunstwerke, it sounds pretentious. When Die Weisse Rose do it, it makes sense.Die Weisse Rose also like to think of their songs as “audiodocumentaries”. Again, such a seemingly pretentious term makes sense, as Die Weisse Rose’s art is just as indebted to the History Channel as to Throbbing Gristle. To bolster Die Weisse Rose’s lineup (which really consists only of the band’s mastermind, Thomas Bøjden) over the years the unit has recruited collaborators to its ranks that makes DWR smack of an Industrial supergroup. From Marco Deplano (Foresta di Ferro), Gerhard (Allerseelen), Kim Larsen (Of the Wand and the Moon) to name but a few.In return, Thomas Bøjden has returned the favour and played with a who’s who of of the Industrial and Neofolk underground, from well-established outfits like Rome, Blood Axis and Foresta Di Ferro to up-and-coming Austrian neofolk band Klammheim. Now, Die Weisse Rose are for the first time available on record. If you fear that we have another ”martial” clone band on our hands, prepare to be pleasantly surprised. The music is painstakingly crafted and orchestrated to perfection to include electronic elements, field recordings and real instruments, and its creative merits really stand out in an underground culture where bands of far lesser talents than Die Weisse Rose would release three albums in the time Die Weisse Rose have patiently worked on theirs.. $14.50

Disgust - Time Ruins Everything 3inch CDr (Small Doses: Doses82)

Donis - Vacuum (Autarkeia: ACD003)

This is not the latest Donis' record. It was recorded in 1997, when Lithuania was still in deepest electronic music crisis. "Vacuum" had waited seven years for his real live in personal Donis' archive. The album consists of only one long track, that could be ascribed to "ambient' stylistics. Tough the sound of album proposes feeling of dark emptiness, it can not be described as "dark ambient". By it's influence "Vacuum" reminds "Coil's" ambient works that take you to the psychedelic trip. Extremely low generator vibration in record doesn't allow the feeling that you're high in the mountains to go out. The air is being crossed by toneless and icy sound, music motives are deep and sharp. Every stream of sound will work out as if you, the listener, are in a trip of deep emptiness. Album lasts for 65 minutes. It’s packed in a special black DVD box. We recommend you to listen to “Vacuum’ only on Hi-fi stereo. Limited edition 499 copies.. $5.00

Drakh - Bethlehem (Essence Music: ESS014)

One third of the cult post-industrial Swedish legends MZ.412, one half of the amazing experimental act Beyond Sensory Experience and Nordvargr’s long running loyal partner on classic endeavors – including the abyssal black ambient duo Nordvargr/Drakh. With such high caliber résumé, we are more than honored to present the first DRAKH solo album! While mostly known for his demonic, truly Swedish guitar interventions on the MZ.412 or N/D pitch black ambiences, Bethlehem finds Jonas Aneheim walking through slow, quasi-harmonic, subtle, yet thick drone fields weaving elaborate and unexpected damaged electronic rhythms and harsh, crackling ambient textures that can become – at the same time – both delicate and haunting, warm and freezing, to finally drown in a sea of reverb, glacial riffing and distortion on his own shadowy interpretation of the city of Bethlehem. Simply perfect.Masterfully conceived and recorded on the road during his many world travels over the past years – from the US State of Indiana to Asia –, the album successfully narrates unknown angles from these places via ominous sonic vistas and pallets that truly honor the charming aura and tradition of the bleakest Swedish sounds.Presented in our custom 6-panel digisleeve packaging with stunning and desolate photography by Seldon Hunt. Not coincidentally mastered by no one else than Jouni Ollila (aka Ulvtharm, from the MZ.412 fame) at oLLiLaboratories Studios.. $13.99

Drape Excrement/Soldnergeist - Black Rider (Steinklang: SK32)

A split CD featuring a collection of early, unreleased tracks from these legendary industrial acts. The later tracks on the Soldnergeist portion are particularly strong…heavier, grimier, more agonizing.. $12.99

Drone Lebanon/Wertham - Roma & Yerushalayim (Topheth Prophet: TP013)

The battle between Rome & Jerusalem continues through the ages. Spirituality vs. Materialism, Civitate Dei vs. Sin City. But where is Rome ? and where is Jerusalem... and which is which? New release by the promising newcomer, Drone Lebanon and a scene veteran, Wertham (featuring John Murphy of Knifeladder, SPK, Whitehouse, Death In June etc.etc.). "Opening with Drone Lebanon, the opening track sends the listener into religious atmospheres of ritual chant. Shortly after religious act is being overwhelmed by crushing waves of destructive electronics wiping out any sign of musical tone. The combination of Middle-Eastern music culture and crushing symphonies is extremely effective. As the album develops, Drone Lebanon makes a slight change into more technoid sound worlds with the piece titled "Self hating jew" that reminds of early Wumpscut added some excellent black metal-sounding distorted vocals of Drone Lebanon. Other moments of Drone Lebanon takes the listener into ambient atmospheres, though don't expect any sonic tranquillity from this guy. Second artist on the split album, Wertham, opens his part of the apocalyptic show with a sweet children's choir, soon after completely destroyed by hordes of high frequency noise. The first piece from Wertham is a long epic piece of ambient noise, consisting of eastern chants, expressive noise moments, distant voices and buzz-drones. Though circulating in the same stylish spheres Wertham is slightly more subdued compared to the harsh sounds of Drone Lebanon. Though both artists should appeal to all listeners of grinding music. $6.00
