Babylone Chaos - Les Machines Ecarlates (OPN: OPNCD007)

New Cd from Babylone Chaos following their "Univers Carcéral" CD on Divine Comedy Rec. 10 tracks mixing industrial music with a melange of surreal electronic sounds, noise and dark ambient passages.. $5.00

Bad Sector - CMASA (Power & Steel: PAS23)

In 2005 Massimo Magrini was invited to provide a soundtrack for the M3M art exhibition in Pisa/Italy. The exhibition was based around images of the seaside and the rivers estuary of Pisana area with CMASA airplane factory built there in it's centre vis a vis of archaic marine cottages. This marvelous seaside scenery mixed with vintage industrial locations, together with some kind of nostalgia, created an unexpected but amazing mood. To sculpture a soundtrack of this scenery Massimo Magrini was asked to use acoustic and natural sounds too and so he added for this work treated piano and snippets of acoustic guitars together with water sounds and metal samples. This may sound unusual for a BAD SECTOR release but all those new elements are perfectly blended into the massive and ambient soundwaves for what previous releases are known for and making CMASA probably to the most emotional album of Massimo Magrini to date. All initial exhibition sounds where regenerated, remastered and re-assembled during 2007-2009. $14.99

Bad Sector - Dolmen Factory (Faria Records: FAR21)

3rd edition of the classic Bad Sector release (Soffitta Macabra 1998, Membrum Debile Propaganda 2000). Harmonic, noisy, emotional electronic tracks set the trademark sound of the one-man Dark Ambient project from Tuscany. Besides heavily modified, commercial synthesizers, a small set of samples of an echocardiogram machine was used as an additional sound source. This Russian edition includes an unreleased bonus track. Ltd x 500 copies in a special outsize package with inserts.. $8.00

Track 07 is from "Ten Years Of Madness" (2nd ed), released by Achtung Baby!, (recorded in 2002, released in 2003). Track 08 is from "Land:[Schaft]", 2x10", released by Cold Lands Distribution, 2004. Track 09 is from "Hover", CDr, released by Bastet rec., 2005. Track 10 is from "L'Ame Electrique Presents Old Europa Cafe", released by Ame Electrique, 2003. Tracks 02, 03, 04 & 11 are previously unreleased (recorded in 2002). The traditional Bad Sector sound of full display...ghostly analogue based atmospheres drifting overpercolating beds of pulsating rhythms, cosmic drones, and a host disembodied noises and voices. Outstanding, as always. Comes in a cut-out cardboard slipcase, included is an 8-page booklet. Limited to 500 copies.. $15.66

Bad Sector - The Harrow (Ewers Tonkunst: HHE015)

Back in stock! Re-issue of this out of print gem, originally released on AVA,. Utilizing military scans, radiation sounds, and voice processing software Italy's Bad Sector produces an amazing disc of dark ambient, ghostly modulations, and incredibly dynamic and hypnotic soundscapes to uncover The Harrow. Features a bonus track not on the original. $12.99

Bad Sector /Contagious Orgasm - Vacuum Pulse (Old Europa Café: OECD032)

Re-issue of the long deleted and legendary tape out on OEC, with two new additional tracks! A superb collaborative effort offering 4 tracks full of thick, radiant textures and resonant atmospheres, that build to climactic heights as multiple layers of sounds (loops, machine noises, mysterious voices) are added. Constantly in flux and constantly fascinating. Great work!. $14.00

Bad Sector vs. Tommaso Lisa - CD/Book (Old Europa Café: OECD075)
For this new release Massimo Magrini ( Bad Sector ) joins forces with Italian Cyberzone-Writer Tommaso Lisa. Recorded using the conceptual reference of the "Rebis" 'Italian Neuro-Poems' - it takes short spoken fragments of texts, treated and inserted into a sonic structure built with minimal, strangely syncopated pseudo-rhythms, chilling micro-melodies and sharp pulsing noises. Translation? A new take on the Bad Sector sound…one that’s glitchier, more rhythmic, and more fragmented. Truth to be told, this took me about three listens before I wholeheartedly embraced it. It is a very cool record, with plenty of the trademark ghostly modulations and haunting textures, but with an injection of unique sounds you'e not used to hearing out of Bad Sector. Contains a book + CD Recommended!. $16.33

Barditus - Die Letzen Goten mCD (Noltex: Noltex01)

Barditus is a new epic neofolk / neoclassical project formed by Uwe Nolte of Orplid fame and co conspirator Andreas Arndt. A mixture of strong classical arrangements with triumphant brass and percussion, to a more solemn processions, to one track folk track and one ancient ritual track. Strong German vocals and lots of theatrics complete the package. Conceptually based upon a historical battle fought between the Byzantium Eastern Roman Empire and the Ostrogoths. Very unique project. $12.00

Bardoseneticcube - Noosphere (Monochrome Vision: MV24)

Russian project BARDOSENETICCUBE is well known in Europe and USA due to numerous releases by various labels like Blade Records, Athanor, Steinklang etc. They are always open to experiments of any kind, so each new album is different and unpredictable. This particular album deals with theory of russian scientist Vladimir Vernadsky about collective consciousness, emerging from the interaction of human minds. The universe is full of endless and omnipresent information fields, different in their energy/meaning potentials. Some of them are accessible for people who are using it extensively, others are intended only for machines that seem to be their source and destination at the same time. This soundpiece is pure improvisation by Igor Potsukailo (BARDOSENETICCUBE) and a Toshiba Satellite A-110 laptop (BARDOSENETICCUBE). The laptop is the leading performer here, created by unknown system error and playing the music of solar wind, derived from the information field that is not accessible to anyone else. Igor Potsukailo uses a kind of feedback circuit, adding the elements of human presence into this music and modifying the energy/information balance in that powerful field near our planet Earth called Noosphere. An hour long drone piece with pulsations and persistent glitches. $6.00

Barrikad & Government Alpha - Daydreaming 3 inch CDr (L-White: LW055)

Harsh ...no, make that HARSH noise collaboration between these two acts. One 20 minute track that's extremely loud and brutal. Mostly operates on the mid-level and not so much in the upper frequency bands, which makes it much more listenable to me. But, really, there's not much to write here ...it's just good old fashion, devastatingly heavy, tinnitus inducing noise.. $4.00

Belborn - 'Y' (Belborn: Bel01)

Holger F and Susanne H of Belborn present vocals-based German neofolk with very restrained use of industrial sounds and samples. Very melancholy and heroic, this has a commanding presence. The melodies are good and the vocals clear. $7.00

Belborn & Rose Rovine E Amanti - Grain (War Office Propaganda: WOP24)

Grain is a very powerful and well-known symbol all over the world. It stands for life, fertility, love and renewal. Its spiritual strength is very present in Christianity and Paganism. Despite different beliefs, two great Neofolk acts - German Belborn and Italian Rose Rovine E Amanti are united for this release and theme.. A split of 13 rare, unpublished and brand new tracks with over 54 minutes of music. These are the last recordings of Belborn before the project finished in April 2006 and they create vocal based German neo-folk with restrained use of industrial sounds and samples. Rose Rovine e Amanti is Italian neo-folk with a neoclassical touch. Their debut full length CD came out on forthcoming from Cold Spring in 2009 I believe.. $12.50

Ben Fleury-Steiner - Chroma (Gears of Sand: GOSRR2)
Not a new release, but new to Malignant. Another quality release from Wilmington Delaware's Gears of Sand, that should find great appeal to fans of Zoviet France, early Jeff Greinke, and the like. Hypnotically layered, full of foggy, churning, liquidous sounds heavy on the echoed effect. "With this release, Fleury-Steiner continues to generate soothing tuneage that drifts high overhead. The ethereal electronic textures are mingled with softly mechanical buzzings and almost subliminal whirs, evoking a remote machine presence creeping up on the audience. The deviations from track to track are very subtle, usually found within the faint embellishments that surface and sink throughout the elongated refined droning. Sparsely dressed tuneage such as this leaves little room for the mind to focus on any part of the music, existing primarily as a minimal backdrop for whatever the listener chooses to do while playing the CD." -MATT HOWARTH, SONIC CURIOSITY. Recommended!. $8.00

Bereft - Your Messiah Will Fail (Bloodlust!: B!143)

Your Messiah Will Fail takes a far more confrontational approach than Bereft’s "Tough Man" b/w "Religious Leaders" single, which had a darker, more death-industrial feel to it. Comparable to the high-fidelity assault of the recent Twodeadsluts Onegoodfuck 7-inch and the classic P.E. approach of Slogun—all the while maintaining its own personality and style—Bereft is now a venomous two-piece group, as Andrew Grant (aka The Vomit Arsonist) has joined Peter Lee (also the head honcho of the Force of Nature label) to accost listeners with harsh-yet-nuanced electronic sounds and potent vocals that feature prominently in the mix.. $9.49

Beyond Sensory Experience - Korrelations (Old Europa Café: OECD070)
The production of the anounced special box was cancelled! But here we have the 4th CD in the BSE series with unreleased BSE material plus remixes by Mr. Nordvrgr, Alko, Do Shaska, Alexxx & more. Brooding, sometimes threatening, atmospherics with brain probing drones, melodies, and murky, surreal sounds, including the inclusion of some beats.. $14.50

Beyond Sensory Experience - No Lights In Our Eyes (Cold Meat Industry: CMI182)

After months of long Nordic nights, intense recording sessions and creative outbursts Beyond Sensory Experience release No Lights In Our Eyes on which they further develop their characteristic and much commended sound. The examination of life that began on Pursuit Of Pleasure and The Dull Routine Of Existence advances and now focuses on death and the subconscious sides of life. Musically, No Lights In Our Eyes ranges from coldest minimalism to the darkest orchestral eruptions, becoming an addictive stimulus for your inward eyes. Expect first class dark atmospheres with a distinctive BSE twist!. $14.66

Beyond Sensory Experience - The Dull Routine of Existence (Cold Meat Industry: CMI154)

On The Dull Routine of Existence, the Swedish duo Beyond Sensory Experience find themselves carefully scrutinizing the conventions of everyday life applying an impressive new take on their characteristic experimental dark ambient. This time delivering dark, complexly melodic and rhythmic waves of sound that penetrate mind and body. Nicely flowing and hypnotic (in a drugged sort of way), and almost warm at times, which may suggest that there’s something bright going on here …but that’s not the case at all (as you might expect, based on their history). Instead, the warmth comes like a blanket of darkness…nicely enveloping, and something to get lost under…though stay for too long and you’ll begin to suffocate. To me, easily (and by far) their best and most focused record to date.Six panel digipack.. $14.33

Birch Book - Vol. III A Hand Full of Days (Little Somebody Records: LSR11)

This is the third part in the Birch Book series! 'A Hand Full of Days' represents the culmination of a bizarre journey through 'That High Lonesome Path'. a collection of songs and incongruant meditations find family with stark passage and psychedelic interlude. a dreamy masterpiece of perfect songwriting! - Comes in heavy fold-out cover / 15 songs / 61 min. About Birch Book: Variously labeled 'Wyrd', 'Psychedelic' or 'Avant Folk', IN GOWAN RING extend roots into poetic-folk traditions while cultivating an inimitable, self-attuned writing style that prefigured the new-psyche-folk movement. As poet, pilgrim, progenitor of wyrd-folk and maestro of IN GOWAN RING, Jon Michael Beirth (otherwise B'ee) has developed a homespun sonic tapestry with peculiar richness of vision; recording over ten full length albums and performing throughout North America & Europe in veritable itinerant fashion amidst a dozen years against the grain. As well as composing the original material for BIRCH BOOK & IN GOWAN RING, Bee collects renditions of traditional songs and builds many of the acoustic instruments featured in performances and recordings such as the recent lyre-guitar & leaf cittern. Though largely self-taught, he has didactically studied the music of the Trouvères and Troubadours, the counterpoint of the High Renaissance, and modern orchestration.A beautiful recording.. $6.00

Black Depths Grey Waves - Tumor Throne (Absolute Zero Media: AZM009)

2nd release for this black-occult-industrial project, inspired by the likes of Valefor, Aghast, and MZ.412. Dark, floating atmospheres with raspy, spoken vocals, and some discordant guitar. $8.99

Consisting of 4 compositions glorifying the marriage of gods and men. It is the dissemination of the secret art as bequeathed unto mankind by the fallen...In magnificent copulations the mysteries are revealed... All of the explorations on this release are accompanied by live ritual invocations. As many claim to perform "Ritual ambient:, this is true ritual ambient in every sense of the word, as it is actual ritual and will transform the consciousness of the listener. Bleak, barren atmospheres full of hypnotic invokations, ghostly voices, and swirling dirge. 4 songs clocking in over 70 minutes. 4-panel digipak with attractive 16 page booklet.. $12.00

Black Sun Productions - Chemism (Old Europa Café: OECD091)
Presented in a 6 panel-digipak, fully illustrated by Jacopo Camagni and Marco Felicioni of Studio Dronio, Black Sun Productions' new album for Old Europa Cafe consists of 14 tracks of tribal electronica and it stands as the most rhythmic / electronic and semi-operatic output to date coming from Massimo & Pierce and their fellow Children Of The Black Sun.Very clear, well produced sounds…the wooden, tribal sound of the marimba in combination with flutes and drums merging with very European violins will reveal a new and pleasantly surprising attitude in music-making. The mutating precision of Pierce's electronics is counterpointed by Massimo's sonorous, deep vocals.. $15.35

Black Sun Productions - The Impossibility of Silence 2CD (OEC: OECD086)
New double CD from these ex Coil dancers. Following the bands highly acclaimed 2005 album operettAmorale, The Impossibility of Silence is the new studio album from Black Sun Productions, consisting of 23 tracks spanning two thematic CDs, As Above and So Below. Coming into a luxurious 8 panels digipack illustrated by Val Denham, The Impossibility of Silence is a cinematic journey into sonic abstractness and poetic concretism. Chasing rhythms and haunting melodies to score a motion picture made of eerie dreams and hallucinogenic visions. It is Moon Music for the children of darkness, a gloomy invocation to all executed poets and a lullaby echoing through the silence. Labelled by the artists themselves as ‘intuitive music for sensible ears’, the album incorporates reworked versions of material originally featured in the Black Sun Productions’ limited edition releases Toilet Chant (2004) and Once in a Full Moon (2005) as well as new and unreleased material. The album is littered with contributions by guest artists such as Lydia Lunch, Val Denham, Sudden Infant, Sonne Hagal and Testing Vault. Didn't get a chance to listen to both CDs, but what I did listen to will certainly have great appeal for Coil enthusiasts. $12.00

Black Sun Productions - The Milky Smell of Phantom Sperm (Old Europa Café: OECD112)

Black Sun Productions new album features collaborations with : PSBEUYS, Sudden Infant, Niko Skorpio, Baraclough and Devotchka's Conundrum. Conceived by Massimo & Pierce as the darker counterpart to their 2007 post-pop album Chemism, The Milky Smell of Phantom Sperm marks Black Sun Productions' return to the realm of abstract, experimental musick. Surreal and hypnotic, full of magick and rhythmic trance inducing sounds, quite remiscent of mid-era Coil, which is not surprising considering their relationship. Cover artwork by Ian Jhonstone (Coil).. $14.33

Bleeding Heart Narrative - All That Was Missing We Never Had in the World (Cold Spring: CSR109CD)

Reissue of the stunning debut BHN album from spring 2008 (Ltd x 200). Bleiburg - Indisibiliter Ac Inseparabiliter (The Eastern Front: Front026)

Following 2008’s Open Wound live CD and DVD releases, the martial industrial project of German-Croatian musician Stefan Rukavina launches a fresh offensive on The Eastern Front with this nostalgic tribute to the glory and pathos of a vanished empire.«Indivisibiliter ac Inseparabiliter»—Latin for ‘indivisibly and inseparably’—was the motto of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. Formed in 1867 under the aegis of the Austrian Habsburg dynasty and constituting the most important power bloc in central Europe, the empire was consigned to oblivion by the First World War, a war precipitated by the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand, heir to the Habsburg throne. The empire’s rise and fall is vividly evoked in 15 new tracks by Bleiburg, with styles ranging from orchestral grandeur through stirring folk melodies to sample-laden EBM. The album booklet is copiously illustrated with beautiful period artwork, and contains a detailed German-language history of the Rukavina family, in particular the illustrious Croatian general Baron Georg Freiherr von Rukavina, commander of the fortress of Temesvár. $13.00

Bleiburg - Pieces of a Broken Dream 2CD (Cold Spring: CSR68CD)

Blood Axis & Les Joyaux de la Princesse - Absinthia Taetra (Athanor: Athanor025)

CD version of the music from limited double 10" Absinthe records boxset. NOTE: These recordings are different than the original "Absinthe" CD - these are the vinyl LP versions now on CD! Arriving in an elegantly designed digipak with reasserted sound quality and strictly limited to 2500 copies. No extra material or graphics but all the music from the original, double vinyl release. A dreamlike journey through the addled mind of the Absintheur, this a sonic and poetic invocation combining mind altering music and powerful recitations of Absinthe inspired poems of the fin-de-siecle. It is also one of the most obsessive recordings ever made, the various melodies that float across these sounds capes derived from forgotten Absinthe songs of the past; actual elements of the latter, derived from old cylinder recordings and 78d have been carefully stirred and distilled into new formulations by Les Joyaux de la Princesse. Furthermore, all aspects of the albums instrumentation, spoken recitations, and even the final mixing were executed under the influence of the drink.. $16.65

Bloody Woods - Colour (Midnight Productions: MN016)

Chinese neo-folk - beautiful, gentle, singular guitar with dark and obscure Middle-east/Asian elements, and a pagan, "woodsy"feel. Despite the poor choice of a project name, this is quite legit and authentic. It certainly could have fooled me that it didn't come from Scandinavia or Northern Europe.. $5.00

Blunt Force Trauma - Bled Out (Malsonus: Mal002)

Packed with nearly an hour of some of the most punishing and hateful vibrations ever to cross my tinnitus plagued eardrums, comes the debut release "Bled Out", from BLUNT FORCE TRAUMA. This project is the joint effort of Jonathan Canady (DEAD WORLD/DEATH PILE) and Scott Candey (CINDER SKIN/GRUNTSPLATTER) whom effectively explore the limitless avenues of harsh noise scapes and infinitely layered articles of sound. The result is a challenging listen which sonically simulates the horror of being turned inside out, or possibly getting attacked by a swarming hive of bees. BLUNT FORCE TRAUMA have triumphed by incorporating an underlying dark atmosphere in the tracks "Saeva Indignatio", "Germinal Crawler" and "Shades Below" for example, by weaving indiscrete synth passages and samples into the caustic fray. Noise enthusiasts shall lap up the conviction and inventive delivery hatched by this 2 man project, and I think those of you into the Dark Ambient field will equally appreciate the sense of emotion swelling beneath the surface. Painful sounds from tortured souls." From Worm Gear #5. Brutal cover. $8.00

Bocksholm - Rinna Leathercluster Liveaction 2008 (Autarkeia: ACD044)

4th CD from this collaborative project between Peter Andersson (Raison d'Etre) and Peter Andersson (aka Lina, Deutsch Nepal), this one a live recording from the 26th of July 2008 at the Industrial Vacation Festival in Malmö Sweden. Dominated by remarkable, powerful industrial rhythms, outbursts of psychedelic ambient, intoxicated, gargling vocals, sombre and dismal atmosphere transfused by alcoholic delirium, alcoholic despair and alcoholic hysteria that has only one culprit... No, no, it is not the alcohol, but this isolated, remote Swedish provincial town Bocksholm with its fauna and polluted nature that had such a heavy impact on the childhood of these alcohol addicts.. $14.50

Bocksholm - The Haunting Curse of Skogs-Sara (Wrotycz: WRT003)

3rd CD release from this collaborative project between Peter Andersson of Raison d'être and Lina Baby Doll of Deutsch Nepal. Free flowing industrial, harder and stranger than ever with noises inspired by the ironworks surrounding the industrial town of Boxholm. Lots of organic, junky clutter, whirrings, clangs, and disorderly dark ambient and noise, periodically lapsing into something more synchronized, with driving rhythms, grooving loops and explosive pulsations. In A5 packaging.. $13.00

Brethren - Within Death You Will Be Free (Audial Decimation: ADR005)

Originally released on cdr on Open Wound Records in 2003, this recording (Brethren's first), finally sees proper release. Brighter Death Now - Disobey CD/DVD Dualdisc (Cold Meat Industry: CMI139)
"Disobey" may just be THE ultimate release of Brighter Death Now, 2 live-shows presented as a DualDisc, both recorded in Rostock 1997 (CD) and 2003 (DVD) respectively. Brighter Death Now leaves no-one untouched with brutal and destructive industrial sounds, dealing with sinister topics such as death, childabuse and confusing love as a trademark. BDN has the past few years also become one of the more chaotic, charismatic and unpredictable live-acts in the industrial scene. With a charming sense of black humour BDN changes shape from a little rascal to a moral-majority hag dressed up for Sunday commandment... something which actually happened during the show in Rostock 2003. Featured for this special occasion; Roger Karmanik and Lina B Doll (Deutsch Nepal), two beautiful iron ladies ready to manhandle you! Don't miss this DVD! In total 14 tracks, 2 hours, 4 tracks never before released - and a live action that definitely is not what to expect from this cult Death-Industrial band. BDN's steady mainman Roger Karmanik never goes out of style! A new punishing full length CD packed with 8 churning, grinding, knee cap wrenching tracks. Get down with it or bow in shame... Following the last album "1890" from 2001, this new work is more in the vein of 1998's "May All Be Dead": meaning slight punk mode ON. Diverse, hallucinatory, monotone and HEAVY with that sweet characteristic doom-laden and depressive touch. Simple and effective; just right for your pulsating private parts. Kaptain Karmanik delivers yet another hulking sonic beast!!! May he live forever. Great digipak design. $14.75

Brighter Death Now - Where Dreams Come True:Live in Chicago (Cold Meat Industry: CMI196)

On Friday the 13th of June 2003, the Swedish aggressor penetrated a virginal North America and left its sick stain inside the city of Chicago. The assault lasted for just over sixty agonizing minutes, intimidation of power the only lubrication. Sometimes slow and accompanied by whispered threats, other times hard and gratuitously painful. Always overbearing and unrelenting. Isn't that what LOVE is supposed to feel like? Moans of pleasure in the throes of violation. The amplification of obsession within an ongoing "abusive" relationship. The evidence of trauma conveniently packaged and presented as commodity. Feel dirty and ashamed over and over again. Remember, you're a victim, not a survivor. On this special occasion the personell of BDN was Roger Karmanik and Proiekt Hat.Your trauma comes in packed in a deliciously foilprinted 4-panel digipak. Limited to only 1000 copies! Mastered by Peter Andersson.Tracklist: 1.Adipocere 2.Thirtyseven 3.Sperm on your jacket. 4.Innerwar 5.American Tale 6.I Hate You 7.Happy Nation.. $14.33

Bring Me the Head of Orion - Courting Leviathan CDr (Black Drone: BDLR004)

Heavy and slow as molassess instrumental drone-doom metal, with brain rattling bass-sludge wrapped in warm fuzzy distortion and stretched out into an elongated crawl.. $7.00

Brume - The Sun (Old Europa Café: OECD109)

Reissue of the Brume cassette from 1990 (OEC). "Radiations and heat!... It was in 1989 and i got the idea to record a concept album about our old good Sun! In a first time, subjective sounds & structures were created: pagan percussion & voice simulating a primal dance and invocation to the Sun. In a second time some ring modulated electronic sounds and electroacoustic drones simulating the heat and ultraviolet ray was recorded. All that has been assembled in order to give life to a mental movie, "an offering to the Sun"... All this sounds very pretty but the Sun is often murderous. Dryness, skin cancer... Everything on this earth has its dark side! And the dark side of the Sun is the most dangerous thing on our planet! So enter "The Sun" and let his music burn your skin!" (Christan Renou). Includes 2 extra bonus tracks and is presented in a gatefold 7" cover. Due to a pressing error, there are unexpected 2 second breaks between each track, which Brume thought compromised the integrity of the original recording. For that reason, this recording is unauthorized by this artist. Take that for what it's worth and proceed as you see fit.. $12.00

BT.HN & Sistrenatus - Exposing the Ribcage CDr (Existest: EE12)

BT.HN (The Rita & Sick Buildings) and Sistrenatus (formerly Funerary Call) present one long harrowing track of pure depravity. Droning overblown synths, unrelenting spasms of crunchy distortion, and subtle atmosphere form a hopeless barrage of industrial waste.. $9.00

Bucketovsissors - History of Obedience miniCDr (L-White: LW061)
After some tapes and full length CDr on foreign labels here the first 3” CDr on L.White Records. 24 minutes of harsh, burrowing noise and roaring analogue blasts with a small piece of power electronics.. $12.33

Budrus - Devyniems Rytams Austant (Self-released: Bud01)

An cool discovery from Lithuania initially discovered via a recommendation from M. Aspa of Freak Animal, Budrus have crafted a unique sound based around some rather electrifying and dynamic drones, at times nearly orchestral in nature and scope, and vibrating with a tightly coiled tension and nervous intensity. Some hard and rather grim Eastern European vocals only add to the effect, giving parts of this disc an aggressive and threatening feel akin to perhaps a stripped down version of IRM. Other parts are more serene and hypnotic, the drones shimmering and drawn out in the vein of Troum or some Zoviet France. Definitely an act to keep an eye on.. $13.66

Bunker & Gorngoltz - Ashes CDr (UFA Muzak: UFA26)

I think this is a split release, not a collaborative one, but it's all pretty vague and hard to tell. So, I'm going on the assumption that it's the latter. That still doesn't help me in trying to describe this though - weird looping noises, amplifier buzz, heavy electronic oscillations, and low level, muddled, factory din, all playing out in a mostly non-linear fashion. Black glossy envelope with 8 page black & white booklet.Limited to 91 copies.. $10.66

Burmese/Cadaver Eyes - Split CD (Heart & Crossbones: HCB016)

Like demented twins in crime, Burmese (tUMULt / Load Records) & Cadaver Eyes rephrase Doom, Grindcore and Power Electronics by using an agonizing mechanism of plain brutal aesthetics, ascending these genres to a higher level of cognitive surge. This split CD is difficult and pungent, a warm spew in the face and an endless buzz in the eardrum that fiercely occupies the brain and treats the grey cells as if they were an ashtray. A crude awakening and a classic case of ponderous self indulgence.. $5.00
